mamaofami Posted June 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2018 What amount is HAL asking for a deposit on cruises now? Thanks.
Rare Lady Arwen Posted June 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Depends on the length of the cruise and the itinerary could also make a difference. Our deposit for our 10 day Med cruise in 2019 was $1500.00 (Canadian) for two passengers. Someone else could advise on the U.S. deposit amount. drlee Posted June 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2018 And whether you have Future Cruise Credits (from on board) available. Can be as little as $100 or free with some "specials" and can be $3000 or more for cruises longer than 31 days.
lastlook Posted June 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2018 If you have a Future Cruise Deposit on file, all it takes is $100 for cruises up to 21 days. Just booked the Maasdam 21 day cruise round trip San Francisco, and all I needed was one $100 FCD each for the two of us.
innlady1 Posted June 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2018 What amount is HAL asking for a deposit on cruises now? Thanks. I just paid $600. Where are you going, Carol? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
AtlantaCruiser72 Posted June 20, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 20, 2018 HAL deposits are consistently inconsistent and vary based on length of sailing, destination and the promotion/fare you choose. Anywhere from $300pp to 1500pp is standard while some promotions have reduced deposits of 50% and others $100pp. Some deposits are non refundable and some are refundable. There are even selected fares that require full prepayment that is 100% non refundable. Confused yet???? Lol

TAD2005 Posted June 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 20, 2018 We booked the Eurodam March 9, 2019 Hawaii, Tahiti, Marquesas cruise, which is now almost sold out, on the Westerdam last October, 2017. The cruise is 28 days, R/T San Diego. We paid $300 P/P deposit for booking onboard, and received a $400 P/P OBC. We booked a VB grade veranda at the stern of the ship.
