larrybritt Posted June 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2018 We will be at St Thomas from 10am to 10pm on the Royal Princess in December trip. First cruise for our 18 yr old daughter. I'm unsure how to try to plan the day. We would love to do an Island tour, go to the beaches, also shopping downtown. So much to do. It's just a little disappointing that we don't get into port until 10am. Is there much to do after 5pm on the island that anyone can suggest? It looks like most of shops close by 5. moki'smommy Posted June 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Shopping on St. Thomas is the same as shopping at any other Caribbean island. Same stores, same merchandise, etc. You probably dock at Havensight. If so, there is really no reason to go downtown. What to do depends on her desires. Pick a beach, do the cable car to the top for great views. She's a bit old for Coral World, but Coki Beach is right across the parking lot, free, good snorkeling, no crowds. There are plenty of other nice beaches. The butterfly farm is a short walk from the dock.

Rare Tak8 Posted June 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2018 You may also want to post this in the St. Thomas board under ports. I also would recommend Coki Beach. A Catamaran to St. John with a beach stop and snorkeling is also great.
skynight Posted June 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Beaches, sailing/snorkeling tours that would be my suggestions. The stores at Havensight sholud be open until the ship leaves. Join the roll call there may be some private boat trips planned, other wise search out your own trip on line.
Steven_&_Daniel Posted June 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2018 We've been to St. Thomas several times and we're not into shopping. Last time we went there, we went Ziplining and loved it. If you're into that, I highly recommend it... www.ziplinestthomas.com We took a taxi to and from the ship. They'll call one for you when you're ready to return.
