Vista suite - Miracle. Which deck?

We are currently booked in a vista suite on deck 6.  The higher decks were sold out when I booked but now a cabin is available on deck 8.  Trying to decide if I should change.  The one on deck 8 is below the serenity deck so there might be some noise with moving the chairs in the morning.  The thing I like about deck 8 is that it's only one flight of stairs to the lido.  With deck 6 to me it seems you are kind of in the middle.....a few flights of stairs down  to the dining room and shops and up to the lido deck.

Also considering the possibility of soot and privacy.....more chances of soot on deck 8?  Would there be more or less privacy on deck 8 since the back of the ship juts out?

Would you switch and why or why not?

Thanks in advance.

We had a mid deck suite on the Miracle a few months ago.  Got us to use the stairs more than the elevator since as the OP states, it is a few flights up or down to where you want to go.  Great for coming home and not gaining weight as the stair exercise negated our extra food consumption.

Of course, if stairs are an issue, there's always waiting for the elevators.  We found walking the stairs to be quicker when just going 2 or 3 decks though

The suite was one of the few things we liked about the Miracle though.  If it wasn't a casino fare, and we didn't want to experience the Tampa port for the 1st time, I wouldn't have booked that old a ship.  Hear the Miracle is going to the West Coast soon?

Honestly, if it were us, I would keep the deck 6 cabin. We were in a deck 7 VS on Legend a few years ago and it was pretty close to the Lido deck so deck 8 would be right below. We noticed a lot of time passengers on Lido would stand at that railing and look down onto the deck 8 balcony (ours too for that matter but ours was a bit more shielded) and we did notice some amount of debris (trash type stuff) on the balcony which I can only imagine was a bit worse on deck 8.

We were in a Vista suite on Deck 6.  I would stay there.  Miracle is set up differently than a lot of ships.  A decent amount of things you are going to want to access are below you (show room, dining rooms, comedy club, casino)  but lido and the sports court are up.  If you are on 8, in addition to the lack of privacy people mentioned, you are going to be doing a lot of walking down stairs (and then back up to your room).  I think we were 6156 if I remember correctly.  I have zero complaints about the room.  The ship was very easy to get around compared to other ships, which as a severely directionally challenged person a very much appreciated.  There are a ton of smoking areas and the smoking kind of bothered me (and I am a smoker) but other than that I have no complaints.  If they do movies in the theater and they at all appeal to you, I highly recommend going.  It is pretty cool to be in there with the place basically empty.  I had the best nap ever!
