There are so many new dining venues on the Edge and even a new main dining room (MDR) set up, that there are many questions about dining on the Edge. Now that many of us have dined on the Edge, we can post some actual pictures of food and menus here (suggested by hcat). I'll start by giving a summary of the dining options:

Complimentary:

Four Main Dining Rooms that replace the MDR (with links to menus):

Tuscan: Southern Italian, deck 3, capacity 344

https://www.celebritycruises.com/edge/content/uploads/2018/02/Tuscan.pdf

Normandie: Contemp. French, deck 3, capacity 346

https://www.celebritycruises.com/edge/content/uploads/2018/02/Normandie-4.pdf

Cosmopolitan: Global Cuisine, deck 4, capacity 346

https://www.celebritycruises.com/edge/content/uploads/2018/02/Cosmopolitan.pdf

Cyprus: Mediterranean, deck 4, capacity 342

https://www.celebritycruises.com/edge/content/uploads/2018/02/Cyprus.pdf

image.thumb.png.d46aef6db90fd3a6d2d76cc129cb1a6f.png

image.thumb.png.5b15d7cffb6145fb6ad56f7119e39946.png

image.thumb.png.bfb48998e86ec680f3c916c4b7aac3d1.png

75% of each menu will be the same in all 4 restaurants and is the regular MDR cuisine (Celebrity Signature dishes) that changes each night and 25% will be specific to each restaurant theme and will stay the same each night (Classic).

Tuscan and Normandie will be for dinner only and Cosmopolitan and Cyprus will serve breakfast and will serve lunch on sea days.

If you are not in Aqua Class or Suite Class, you can choose one the following 3 options (if available):

Traditional Early - 6 PM

Traditional Late - 8:30 PM

Celebrity Select Plus - 6:00-9:30

-If you choose Traditional, you will be assigned one of the 4 dining rooms with the same table and waiter. Celebrity will assign the restaurant - the restaurant assignment will be in your stateroom on Day 1.

-Guests may request to dine in a different main dining room, based on availability - you will have a waiter that works in that dining room for that night (waiters stay in their assigned dining rooms). You can also request change to another dining room for the whole cruise, based on availability.

-If you ask for one of the Classic dishes from another venue of the 4 MDRs, it will be recommended that you eat in that venue one night instead

-If you want to request to be assigned to a particular MDR, it is suggested that you email CelebrityDining@celebrity.com and they will forward the request to the ship and try to accommodate you.

If you choose Celebrity Select Plus, you can choose any of the restaurants each night. Reservations are recommended (and can be made online through Pre-Cruise Planner), though walk-ins are permitted.

Fine Cut Steakhouse - my personal favorite - if you are concerned about noise from the Grand Plaza, ask for a table further in - it was loud the first time we were there (but being in further, it wasn't an issue for us) and then they toned it down the second time so had a lovely dinner on the rail. I love the bone-in filet mignon.

That beautiful piano seems to go unused.  I remember (Royal Carib I think) there was a piano in the bar and they sang and  played music everyone knew.   People gathered round and everyone requested songs.  It was lots of fun.

We did see it played one afternoon accompanied with a sax - it was nice to stop and listen in. Others have mentioned piano players, but I haven't heard of any sing alongs on the Edge.

Yes, I remember the piano bars on RCI - we aren't ones to gather round and sing, but it was pretty cool.

On a 7 night cruise, if I book the 7 night dining package, are all restaurants available to eat in?

The Magic Carpet Restaurant and Dinner on the Edge are not included. The others are included. Raw on 5 is a la carte - each person receives $35 credit there with the dining package.

Vtcruising,

Is the Grand Plaza Café what used to be Café La  Bacio where you can get double latte coffee?

No, actually there is a separate Grand Plaza Cafe where you can get muffins, pastries, etc. at breakfast and little sandwiches and desserts, etc. at lunchtime.  That is on the 3rd deck and is open generally from 7:30-10 AM and 12-1:30 PM. Everything is complimentary and you can do takeout or eat it in the Grand Plaza Cafe.

Breakfast time:

image.thumb.png.81ed1d165979975dc3cbd952dc433885.png

Lunchtime (the little sandwiches are on the bottom shelf):

You can get self-serve coffee there too:

Cafe al Bacio is on deck 4 and is generally open 6:30 or 7 AM -12 MN. That has dessert stuff, muffins, croissants, pastries, etc. that are complimentary (beverages at a fee, but covered under beverage packages usually).

Here are pictures of Raw on 5. The food was very good here and the staff made it fun. The Imperial Tower was a bit pricey, but fun to try!  We like Sushi on 5 a bit better because we missed the Lobster Ramen and the laid back atmosphere (the maitre'd said a lot of people mention the lobster ramen so maybe they will add it). They do have the shrimp tempura rolls, which is our second favorite at Sushi on 5.

Here are some pictures of the Roof Top Grill at lunch. It's a nice casual space, with great food. It can be breezy up there, so won't work for dining every day.

Marilyn, thank you so much for compiling all this info.  I know it was a lot of work and is very much appreciated.

It's been fun to go back through my pictures and relive the fun times (and makes me look forward to getting back on next week). 😊
