A good idea but many smaller ports do not maintain a searchable schedule very far into the future.  This works best with major ports which often post 6 months to a year at a time.

The most accurate information is from each port's website. The other sites pull info from the cruise lines itineraries and may not be updated if itineraries change. They also do not include the smaller lines, so total people in port  could be off by over 1000.

I use a combination of cruisetimetables.com and cruisecal.com.  Cruisecal is a pay site but you can get the info you seek by clicking on Itinerary Lookup on the menu bar.  Cruisecal does not list all of the European lines which I like to use a combination of the two.  This is another possibility:
