Refund of on board credit

Hi

 

Does anyone know how long it takes for Princess to refund unused on board credit after the end of a cruise? It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since the end of my cruise and I feel that it should be through by now....

It can take up to six weeks, although it was only 2-3 weeks when we got a refund.

We received our refund from Princess two days ago.  Our cruise finished on 27 December so just under 3 weeks.

I might follow up on our refund. Our cruise was in late November but we haven't heard anything yet.

Our refund from our November cruise took 3 weeks to arrive, it came in a window envelope.

 

Hopefully it will turn up soon.

Refund of our OBC from a cruise ending in mid October, arrived beginning of December, so that was about six weeks. Thankfully it was a cheque in NZ dollars, not US.

We received our refund cheque end of last week, disembarked end of December, so roughly 2 and a bit weeks...thought that was pretty good going..

I cash out on the last night if I have any OBC, I use some of it for tips, the rest for the next cruise. One time I did have some left over, and it took around 3 weeks but they say it can take up to 6 weeks.

It may depend on the cruise line.

With Princess we were told that the maximum they could pay in cash from the Passenger Services desk was $25. We were told we would receive a cheque in AUD. I have been looking expectantly in our letterbox every day from about Christmas day onwards, but nothing so far.

 

I will get out my paperwork and contact Princess.

True, with Princess we put any of our OBC into a casino account. Then you have to cash out on the last night.

I do believe it in this case. The operator said that the cheque was processed on the 11th (last Friday) and that it can take up to ten days to arrive.

I don't think the 10 days is all after the cheque was posted. I think some of that time would be for it to be processed through the Princess system. Transit time from Sydney would probably be two to three days.

Most likely, even still we only get the mailperson coming past 3 times a week now.

We have a mail delivery every weekday, and prior to Christmas, there was a delivery on Saturdays as well. However, I agree with your earlier comment that deliveries take longer now than they used to years ago.

 

Following on my earlier post, my refund from Princess didn't come yesterday. Maybe on Monday ...... I will keep you "posted".😊

Yeah, before Xmas they were coming a bit more regularly and did visit on the Saturday (22nd) as well.

Must be some ACT  thing. Rest of Australia still gets deliveries from Australia Post 5 days a week.

Must be an ACT thing although I doubt it is just us, friends in Adelaide, near Albury and near Newcastle have made similar comments.
