TOMTOMRN331 Posted February 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Hello Fellow NCL Cruises Tomorrow my husband and I are leaving from NY on the Escape for a 7-night Bahamas cruise and I thought I’d try and do a semi-live post and review of our experience. This is our 6th cruise with NCL and third time in The Haven Bear with me - I miss the third party blog apps that use to function with Cruise Critic. Background: Like I said our sixth cruise with NCL. We are from Tucson AZ. We flew into NY yesterday and have had a fun time exploring the city (this is our second time here). Ship: We are booked in an H7. I also plan on upgrading our WiFi to have unlimited so I can post onboard. We are booked for a small Cabana in GSC and the Aquaadventure at Atlantis. Here is slme photos of our NY adventures. We have done this same itinerary, same room and cabana I’m just wondering if anything on the island has changed. Look forward to your play by play. TOMTOMRN331 Posted February 24, 2019 Author #14 Share Posted February 24, 2019 How much are they charging you to upgrade your internet? Looking forward to following! The 250 minutes is valued at $125, and is subtracted from the total unlimited value of $244. Decided not to upgrade and used our money towards some other excursions. Will post along as I can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now I see why your doing a semi-live. I've recently purchased my internet for my upcoming Allure of the seas cruise in May for my live on that ship and paid about $97.93 for surf and stream unlimited. A week ago I got off the Symphony of the Seas and had purchased before the cruise surf and stream unlimited for $ 111.93. Those prices remind me of pricing I had paid for internet back in 2013. TOMTOMRN331 Posted February 25, 2019 Author #17 Share Posted February 25, 2019 Embarkation We hailed an Uber and started our adventure to the port. Traffic was backed up, not only from the passengers debarking but those of us trying to get there. NYPD was our and directing traffic, took about 15 mins to get through traffic. Luggage taken by the porter and through security with ease. Checked in with The Haven. The area for pre boarding was small, and they kept running out of glasses. We were Haven boarding group 5. Once onboard we explored The Haven, met our concierge David and made some reservations we forgot about. Lunch in Haven - delicious. TOMTOMRN331 Posted February 25, 2019 Author #18 Share Posted February 25, 2019 Sail Away We left Pier 88 around 1545 and were off. It was freezing. There is something majestic about a city skyline trimmed in clouds. During our muster drill the captain announced that we would be sailing through a squall. Our luggage arrived around 1730. We unpacked and proceeded to have some drinks before our show. I love a good martini and appreciate that Haven bartenders stir a proper martini. We saw David Gleason, comedic magician, in the Supper Club. Dinner was complimentary. Consisting of three courses, one of which is salmon. They had a non-fish option. Spare ribs. Very good. The show was also funny and interactive. Off to bed - as mentioned. The boat was a rocking last night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TOMTOMRN331 Posted February 28, 2019 Author #20 Share Posted February 28, 2019 Greetings from Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau. Some quick updates while we have good WiFi. I’ll post more when I get home. We made it to Great Stirrup Cay - the first time in four weeks. Amazing island, though still littered with areas of construction. Crew said the contractor indicated six months for the Haven area to open up. I commend the crew for having to schlep all the food and drink to the island twice. Of course having a great time in Haven. Found our favorite bartender Shaw Haven Area Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TOMTOMRN331 Posted March 3, 2019 Author #25 Share Posted March 3, 2019 Day 1 – Sea DaySea days, my favorite. Woke up and made it to the gym. The work out facilities on Escape are very night. They had plenty of cardio machines and never had to wait. After working out we headed to Haven and had breakfast. The food in Have is always top notch. Also had our cruise Critic meet and mingle Day 2 – Cape CanaveralWe arrived two hours early to assist an ill passenger in leaving the ship. No excursions. Spent our day laying around the Haven courtyard. Tried some slides in the Aqua Park (not the free fall one). Something that was new to us was lunch service around the pool, like pool service at resorts. Very relaxing to be able to stay in your lounger and stuff your face with burgers and fries (LOL). Of course, throughout the cruise we experienced a couple of chair hogs, but plenty of space for everyone.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
