Paulinda Posted March 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Do you mean you have a 5PM flight out of FLL? If so and your ship and airline have anything like Luggage Direct or a luggage service that will take your bags directly to the airport (usually it's like $25 for 2 bags) I would do that. Sans big baggage you can Uber/Lyft to lots of different places like Las Olas and have lunch or shop. There are also hotels that rent for an afternoon. capriccio Posted March 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Each terminal at FLL has luggage storage (www.bagstogo.net) if you don't/can't use your cruise line's luggage direct program. Alternatively, many cruisers just rent a car for the day and store their luggage in the trunk. For info on what to do for the day, check out www.sunny.org. The water taxi (www.watertaxi.com) is a great combination of transportation and sightseeing.
trophy_23 Posted March 26, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2019 Good suggestions. We used luggage direct for the first time and it allowed us to enjoy the day exploring and have a nice lunch on Las Olas before heading to the airport. Was worth every penny! Rare FionaMG Posted March 26, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2019 Another option could be a post-cruise excursion with airport drop-off. This is convenient because you disembark the ship and get straight on the bus and your luggage stays in the bus the whole time. Check what your cruise line is offering in that respect. On the downside, this can be a bit pricey, especially if there are more than two of you, so you'd need to decide if the excursions offered involve something you really want to do. cruisegirl1976 Posted March 26, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2019 Another option is Resortpass, hang out at a hotel for the day.
