We will be a party of 6 and my sister has her birthday in a sea day. Hopefully the weather will be good. What are your recommendations as to what to do? Best places for lounging? Are there cabanas we can buy? Best specialty restaurant for the birthday dinner? Any suggestions to make her first cruise memorable would be greatly appreciated.

Early big  breakfast together....or if someone has a suite order rm service for all if you can.

Get out early for best  lounger  spaces..  .Not sure if they have cabanas on Connie..

Would she enjoy a special spa or salon treatment..mani /pedi ? OBC

Decorate her door or cabin.

Have a great time!

No cabana's on the Connie.  Check out the Solarium for a place to lounge.  The specialty restaurants are Tuscan, Qsine and Sushi on 5.  Qsine on some ships has been changed to Le Petit Chef which is a set menu accompanied by animation.  If it hasn't changed on the Connie it could be fun for a group.  Sushi on  is ala Carte pricing.  Tuscan is Italian steak house with very good Filet, that would be my choice

Constellation is a little limited in the specialty dining category.    If they have Qsine on your cruise it is quite fun for a large group.     Le Petite chef is a bit limited as it is a set menu and set times.   Things are rather rushed  and not very conducive to talking.    I find Tuscan to be hit or miss depending on the staff and the ship but might be a good place for a large dinner.   Let them know in advance and they will bring out a cake.

Be sure to let everyone know that you are celebrating a birthday.

The Captain will give you a special invite to a sail away on the helipad and a tour of the bridge

The cruise director will acknowledge it and the comics and guests entertainers may acknowledge it and invite them on the stage.

you will  get special treatment in the restaurants and even a special cake.

the cabin attendant will decorate your cabin and leave special treats.

If you let other passengers know they may buy you a drink.

The bartenders will make you a special drink.

The workers will really make sure that you have a very special day on your birthday as theyI know how much it means to you.

Happy cruising  and many more 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

DH had birthdays on a ship 3 times, on reservation, told MaitreD, Butler & cabin attendant- no invite to bridge or Sail Away.

The cruise director will acknowledge it and the comics and guests entertainers may acknowledge it and invite them on the stage.

we have only seen anniversaries of 50+ years announced.

DH did get a cake in Blu twice and Luminae

Door was decorated each time

I think it depends on timing and the staff.  Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t.

There is no consistency and nothing written in stone or promised.  Apparently you won some and lost some.  We wereN”t really impressed with the sail away on the heli  pad and no longer go when invited the view is better on a top deck or from our balcony.

The cake isn’t any thing special as there are better deserts for the calories but I know that some like that special recognition for everyone to look at me.

In reality most passengers are celebrating something be it a anniversary, birthday, wedding, honey moon,  divorce , retirement  and etc so nothing is really unique, extraordinary or special so don’t be disappointed if it isn’t recognized or given that extra touch.

We no no longer bother with announcing or asking because we don’t need it and no longer expect it.   We are happy and content to be cruising and celebrate every day as being special and no different than any other day.

happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
