Changing high denomination notes on board.

I have just looked at the wallet of holiday currency I ordered for next month's holiday and realise that they are in too high denominations (dollars and euros) for tipping etc.  How accommodating is Celebrity at changing them, if I ask nicely?  I have only previous experience of Costa and they were not helpful.  I can go back to the bank I suppose but would rather not!

My experiences is no issues at GS when breaking down larger dollar bills.

Same experience on our last cruise although sometimes Guest Relations would run out of smaller bills and I would have to wait for another day.

If you need change, I recommend going earlier rather than later.  On a couple Celebrity cruises we had a hard time getting change towards the end of the cruise - they claimed they were running out.  The casino is not too eager to just break bills if you are not playing.  Not saying never, but don't count on that except as a back-up plan.  For the latter, you'd have a better shot putting money in a machine, cashing out, then bringing the ticket to the cage.  There you can ask for smaller bills.

Just got off the Summit and Customer Relations said they had no change and sent us to the Casino who told us to go back to Customer Relations.  Went back and she mysteriously found change.  I asked the same dimwit to print a bill for me and she gave me a blank bill with no name, cabin number or purchase details.  Didn't notice it until I got to the room so had to go back and join the long line again for someone else to take care of it.

Is the bank terribly far from where you live?  Seems like that would be the easiest way to ensure you have the denominations you want, at least for the dollars and possibly for the Euros as well.  Some banks keep Euros on hand, as opposed to needing to order them, although they may or may not have the exact denominations you want, although there's no certainty of that onboard, either.
