Ryanryanryan Posted June 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2019 What’s the latest you can leave the Breakaway in Miami and the latest you can leave your cabin?
Rare www3traveler Posted June 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2019 They usually want you out of your cabin by 8:30 A.M. Last call to leave the ship is between 9:30 A.M. and 10:00 A.M.
Rare BirdTravels Posted June 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2019 8:00-8:30 is the latest you can leave your stateroom. They will call all ashore around 9:30. And start boarding the next cruise around 10:30. Don't linger in your stateroom, your cruise is over. Let your cabin steward turn the room over for the next guests.
zqvol Posted June 23, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2019 Cabin is usually between 8:00 and 8:30 though your steward would like you out by 7:30. Last call can be as early as 9:15 or as late as 10:00, it just depends on how disembarkation is going.
casofilia Posted June 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2019 Changeover day is really hectic for the cabin stewards so play your part in helping them by leaving your cabin as soon as you can. There are plenty of places round the boat to sit and vegetate if you want to leave as late as possible.
fondtravel Posted June 24, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2019 It’s one thing about cruising we can’t help wishing were a little different. We would love to sleep in on disembarkation day. But it makes sense that the crew has to get everyone out in order to turn over rooms for the next set of guests who are likely to be boarding by lunchtime. Sometimes we wonder if it wouldn’t be better if both check in and check out took place a little later in the day, similar to resorts on land. But this probably wouldn’t work as long as most ships need to get underway by the late afternoon?
Traveling Library Posted June 24, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Out of cabin by 8:30. Latest off ship 9:30.
Corby114 Posted June 25, 2019 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2019 They need to get the cabins ready for the next sailing so 8:30AM is usually last call. They need to get the ship to a zero passenger count so they normally want you off by 10:00AM at the latest. Normally they start the boarding for the next sailing around 11:30AM. Turnaround day is normally the hardest day for all staff and crew, including the senior officers.
