Haven drinking cocktails in room

Just read on another post that you cannot drink cocktails in Haven courtyard suite. We have the drink package.  Could this be true?

It must have been a really weird post.   You can drink cocktails anywhere on the ship, though it is discouraged in the SPA.   Even if it was against the rules, what steward or butler would risk a reduction in their tips by trying to enforce should they somehow spot you.      We frequently grabbed a couple drinks each and had either help us open our cabin door in your stays in the Haven.

Even in our Haven stays outside of Haven proper we had no problems carrying drinks to the cabin.

It's that the drink package doesn't work for anything delivered to your suite (or the mini bar - unless the room specifically includes a bar setup).

 

Bringing a drink you ordered from the bar back to your suite = $0 if under $15

 

Ordering a drink to be delivered to your suite = full price of the drink

I think they were referring to the fact that you can't get drinks delivered through room service on the drink package. Room service is excluded. You can certainly pick a drink up at a bar and take it with you or order a room service drink and pay for it.

If this is the case than we violated this rule A LOT! 😉 We had absolutely no issue with bringing drinks back to our room.

Hubs and I watched the Eagles one afternoon during our Bliss cruise and took turns going to the Haven bar and bringing back Alaskan beers—had butler bring in wings from the Local - perfect afternoon!
