Manhattan Pier Parking - Easy?

The plan is to drive across the George Washington Bridge and head down to park at the pier for a NCL Escape cruise. It will be a weekday around 10:00.

Is there anything we should be aware of? Traffic? getting into the parking garage? We hope it will be a smooth process and not be stuck in lines for hours.

First time driving into New York City.

You'll be on the very tail end of rush hour-- honestly I would wait to hit the bridge around 10:30-11 and that will make sure everything is going to have a better chance of being clear. You can of course have random traffic at any time. From the GWB its a straight shot down the Hudson Parkway (9A South) to 55th St. You'll see the ship on approach.

It's as easy as can be.  They'll be a big sign at the entrance to the cruise terminal...you can't miss it.

FYI, it's not  parking garage if that makes any difference to you. Cruise terminal parking is an open air lot on the roof of each of the cruise piers.
