If weather isn't an issue outside,  upper deck.  Since seldom sails by statue of Liberty so port side to get a glance at her.

Yes. Cape Liberty is “after” the SOL, so you won’t sail right in front of the SOL. You’ll still get some nice pictures of the SOL and Manhattan.
