fair-winds39 Posted January 19, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2020 We will be on our first Grandeur cruise shortly and we had some questions. We're not novice cruisers, but we're not sure how a couple of things work with Grandeur. Would appreciate any responses. Thank you in advance. 1. We will be traveling with four other people and would like to dine together. One couple has booked thru a TA and I don't think they will be able to link them with us. Do you think we could speak to maitre'd after boarding and arrange for a table for six? 2. Are there restrictions on how you can use your OBC on the Grandeur? Thank you. Clarea Posted January 19, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2020 If you are all assigned to the same fixed dining time, you can send an email to rcldining@rccl.com about 3 weeks before the cruise and ask to be seated at a table for six. Include full names, stateroom numbers, and reservation numbers. If this does not work, then see the host at the entrance to the dining room as soon as you board. OBC can be used for anything that is charged to your onboard account.

JHU Posted January 19, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2020 Hope you enjoy this cozy ship....the crew and staff are friendly and helpful....passengers are great and there's the feel of a 'home town' cruise because many are return passengers.

We hope so too. We like the smaller ships and we're looking forward to trying a different ship from Baltimore.
Rare brillohead Posted January 20, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2020 You can link your reservations yourself through the Cruise Planner. You just need the reservation number, last name, and DOB of the other party to link them yourself -- doesn't matter if anyone used a travel agent or not. cb at sea Posted January 20, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2020 All you need is their reservation # to "link" your bookings. That's all! You can do it in advance....but, you all must have the same type of dining.....either you all must have MTD, or early or late traditional seating. If that's not the case, one of you will need to be "wait-listed" for the desired seating. At any rate, they will do their best to get you what you want. SRF Posted January 20, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2020 Grandeur is pretty easy and flexible. Just take to the MDR once you board with either everyone there, or their reservation numbers. Or, switch to MTD and be flexible about time and still sit together. Which sailing? I am on her 1/31. 5th time on Grandeur, but first time NOT in a suite. 😄

JTBCruiser Posted January 20, 2020 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2020 DW and I really enjoyed our cruise on Grandeur out of Baltimore to the Bahamas last year. Smaller ship but we don't care for ships with all the bells and whistles and thoroughly enjoyed the ship and crew. Service was great all over the ship.
