Dockyard info

Can anyone give any recommendations of things to visit in the Dockyard? Best coffee, ice cream? And I think I read about dolphins- not interested in a show, but can we just get in to see them? I also see ads for a shop called Handmade Bermuda, and they picture little cats and maybe mermaids made of felt. Does anyone know where that's located? Any tips or suggestions appreciated!

You can sit and watch the dolphins at Dolphin Quest but you need a ticket to the National Museum (well worth it to visit here as well). We go every time we visit and though the Admiralty's House hasn't had many changes over the years we enjoy walking around and even just sitting on the porch looking out over the ocean, lovely spot for a few hours.

Be sure to go to the glass works and watch them blow glass, they also have some very nice items for sale and the rum cake is there as well.

Handmade Bermuda is in the Clocktower Mall, but also check out Bermuda Craft Market opposite the Frog & Onion Pub.

Best ice cream, in my opinion, is Alex and Pete’s, about smack dab in the middle of Dockyard. They also have free WiFi!

A funky stop is the pharmacy, which has sundries but also massive amounts of souvenirs!

Best tip is to not spend all your time on the island just there though. The Dockyard is the Times Square of Bermuda-- its interesting for a look around but there's much more authentic things to see and do.

Thank you. This is my 6th time to Bermuda, and we've never really walked around the Dockyard. This trip, my ship gets in at 1:30 on a Sunday, so I thought we'd check it out for the afternoon.

Right now our plan is to get back from our excursion around 1, and our ship departs at 3.  So that will be our dockyard time.  This a fair amount of time?

We are planning on going to the museum there as well on arrival day (we have 1 overnight).

That is enough time.
