Shareholder OBC?

Absolutely!  You deserve the Shareholder's Credit as long as you properly apply for it before embarkation.  Doing so sooner before your sailing the better.  And, print and take with you whatever documentation that you receive that the credit ought to be applied to your account.

Don't wait until late in your cruise to check your account statement.  If errors are there, and they do happen from time to time (like the charge that was once on my statement from a Shops on Board Charge for a purse that I bought; I am a male and do not use a purse.)

The only times I have seen people mention that they didn't receive the Stockholder Credit was when they had basically free cruises, such as the free cruise lottery, some familiarization cruises for travel agents, and the like. That is what the fine print covers.

Sorry for being dense, but does this mean that we would get the Shareholder Credit if we purchased through a travel agent that gives us a rate lower than what is publicly posted?

In general the answer is yes. Most times the lower price quoted by travel agencies is achieved by you paying a 'published' price and the TA rebating part of the price to you, either during the booking process or after the cruise is over.

I was denied the SH credit on my Zuiderdam sailing.  It was a discounted casino offer (NOT free but significantly less than the "regular" fare).  Sailing (hopefully) on another of these fares on 4/21 and will submit for the OBC, but expect to again have it declined.  We'll see.  Maybe they'll feel generous because I'm actually going to sail rather than cancel.

I recall reading in the Annual Report that such discounted sailings do not qualify for the Shareholders credit.

During this uncertain time, you may be right.  Good luck.
