duegwb Posted June 1, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2020 The days we’re in Cozumel there will be 5 large cruise ships in port. With that many people will it be hard to find a cab to take us back from Nachi Cocom to the pier? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
JohninDC Posted June 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2020 Nope! 5-6 ships is about average for Cozumel, or at least it was pre-virus. If there are no cabs waiting the staff at Nachi will call one for you. We have never had to wait more than 5 minutes.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums Nachi is a great way to spend the day of you are looking forward to an all-inclusive beach club with great food, drinks and service. Quiet, uncrowded (limited to 130 customers per day) and relaxing. When it was just the wife and i, with no kids, it was our favorite pre-virus place on the island. If you don't want AI then check out Paradise Beach - $3 admission fee/chair rental, a HUGE pool, and good food and service (love the new taxi truck!). I've looked and cant seem to find anything recent. tia
JohninDC Posted June 2, 2020 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2020 Should be about $16-17 each way. Fare is good for up to 4 passengers in the taxi - pair up with others on your roll call if you can to save $$. Current fares will be posted on a board near the taxi line. Fares will be posted in US Dollars - no need to change money into Pesos. Nachi, Paradise Beach and every tourist spot on the island will usually post prices in US Dollars. Bring lots of small bills - shop owners and cab drivers all over the world never seem to have change if you pull out a stack of $20s or $50s
Loucat Posted June 7, 2020 #7 Share Posted June 7, 2020 You can post "Cozumel taxi fares" in a search engine and they have actual pics of the rates. You do not mention where you will dock. The downtown pier (Punta Langosta) or the more southern International pier. Both are around $17 for 4 but that was in 2019. We spent one Christmas at Nachi and had a good time. Good food and service and not crowded. Both the pool and beach were well maintained and enjoyable. Have fun once sailing to Mexico begins again. Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted June 29, 2020 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2020 Never had a problem hailing a taxi in Cozumel. And when cruising does resume, keep in mind it will likely be with reduced capacity so even with a lot of ships in port, the numbers of people will probably be less. PelicanBill Posted July 13, 2020 #9 Share Posted July 13, 2020 If you like Nachi Cocom, reserve ahead of time (deposit required) as they typically sold out of their limited capacity. I really enjoyed it there and it isn't crowded... a feature now extra valuable.
