We were on the Edge in March of 2019 and loved the new FineCut Steakhouse.  We ate their two nights on our 7 night cruise it was so good!  While some friends of ours enjoyed Eden for the experience, we did not feel it was worth the surcharge.  We were scheduled to eat at the Rooftop Garden Grill but it was too windy that night and they had to close.  That was an issue most nights of our cruise, but we understand that issue may have been rectified since our cruise.  We had a sea day lunch at the French LeGrand Bistro and it was superb. On that cruise, the evening meal was Le Petit Chef so the restaurant was only open for breakfast and lunch.  We were in a Sky Suite and also enjoyed Luminae and Blu several nights.

We didn’t try Eden.  Found Fine Cut Steak house to be OK, not great and very noisy.  We were seated pretty far inside and we couldn’t hear the waiter & he couldn’t here the customers. We liked  the Roof Top Grill and will go again when we are on the Edge next year.

Actually the 4 incl. dining rooms.

We lobed the new concept and enjoyed the food and the dishes specific to each restaurant.

We also tried Fine Cut and the Rooftop Garden Grill. While we enjoyed the outdoor seating in both, both we didn’t think the food was special and worth paying extra for.

Dear "tidefan,"

We notice that you are brand-new to CruiseCritic.  Welcome!

We would like to ask a favor of you:  When you start a new thread, please use a more descriptive / specific title for it.  In this case, it would have been good for you to use, "Edge restaurants" or "Restaurants on the Edge."

Using better titles will help people who will run searches in the future -- and it will save the time of some people that scan the list of recently-active threads and don't have enough free time to open every thread.  For example, we have not yet been on the Edge, so we cannot answer your question -- and we wish we had not lost the time it took to open the thread to determine this.

Thank you.

Restaurants are very subjective. We ate at Fine Cut twice and thought it was just okay; we can get a better filet or steak at home. We liked Rooftop Garden Grill and the sushi at Raw on 5 was very good. Lunch at Le Grand Bistro was delicious and a good value.

Eden was the closest to a land-based restaurant we have ever had.

Fine cut was OK. I would recommend a relatively early dining time and as for a table “deeper” in the space, closer to the windows and away from the atrium. We did that and didn’t have any if the noise issues. Excellent wine list.

The main dining in my opinion was just simply fun, breaks up the experience. You do not build a relationship with waitstaff, and we missed that a bit, but overall circulating among the 4 rooms was fun

We are kind of foodies and wine snobs, but we approach food and wine on a cruise with a totally different set of expectations- it is never going to be the equivalent of a Michelin starred restaurant. The experience is different, still can be a great experience, just different
