Dinglebert Posted January 20, 2021 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2021 For a long time my travel insurance has always been though my bank account with TSB. It has covered the family, including the student age ones going on holiday with friends. However the account now costs £20 a month and I'm no longer convinced its value for money. We also get the cars covered for breakdowns but there are other reasonable offers around. I had kept the policy on as my July cruise has been book pre-covid so had good coverage. However it was moved yesterday to next April so now thinking its time to get cover elsewhere. As I have three cruises currently book, I'm thinking an annual policy would be better. Anyone any recommendations cover which specially has good covid coverage?
WECRUISEUK Posted January 20, 2021 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2021 As your intending to travel quite a bit i would say getting an annual cover makes sense, should work out a lot cheaper.Don't forget to include ALL pre-existing health conditions and if your a sporty person check the smallprint. Captain Rob Posted January 20, 2021 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2021 Don't forget to add the Cruise extension.
majortom10 Posted January 20, 2021 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2021 I think if the insurance with TSB is good enough and covers you for cruises and also covers you for car breakdown I would stay put. You would do very well to get annual travel insurance and car breakdown cover for an annual fee of £240.

Always wise to keep an eye on the small print, lots of people claimed to be with a good/reputable insurance company when others enquired only to find they were not that good when covid bit and their insurance company wouldn't pay out. Esprit Posted January 20, 2021 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2021 I’d recommend the company with an Italian name meaning “Go” in English. its part of a larger English Insurance company that specialises in older clientele beginning with S and ending in e (8 letters long)! john watson Posted January 28, 2021 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2021 One thing I have noticed with recent new policies of travel insurance is that they generally exclude Covid-19 infections. This is worth examining in depth in case extra expense becomes involved with being disembarked etc. Ongoing Annual policies seem to continue with the pre-existing terms and conditions.
