So, we were able to change our Apex sailing to one of the new ones several days ago now...

And I immediately went to "Upcoming Cruises" on the website after logging in...

...and was very happy to see that it now showed the new cruise date and title ("7 Night Greek Islands & Israel Cruise")...

But, I never read the whole thing until now...

 

Here is what it actually says:

I am pretty danged sure that is the Forum...in ROME!

 

That's right...The Celebrity website thinks their Greece and Israel cruises are going from Rome to Barcelona via Naples, La Spezia, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Mallorca!!!  I sure hope the Captain doesn't think this as well!

This is the same nonsense that Celebrity tried last year, advertising New England - Canada cruises that headed south to Bermuda (or the Bahamas?) instead of north to Canada.

Iceberg, Goldberg, it is all the same.......  I actually got a very interesting email ad from our big online TA today with a reasonable price, lots of "perks" and an extra 10% of OBC.  It looked appealing until I stopped and thought about the risks of going to Europe this summer, the risks of being in  the confined atmosphere of a cruise ship so we are sticking with our plan to travel "locally" in the US Southwest for now.  Maybe 2022 but not now.

We attended an interesting lecture onboard one Europe cruise where a Celebrity officer explained the way they plan and execute the cruises.  The officer seemed much more on top of things than the IT department.
