Do any of the bars have dancing at night?

In addition to the ship's resident band playing in Torshavn, I have seen pax dancing in the LR to the Classical Duo or in Explorers with the resident pianist/guitar player.

They can also schedule the resident band up on the pool deck for dancing.

Probably not now. In earlier cruises we managed to dance quite a bit. The band was always happy take requests. The dance floor was tiny so we did mostly rumba and swing.

We were on Sky July 17-24. The dance floor in Torshavn is covered in chairs but there were about three couples who danced across from the bar and in the odd corner. We were one of the couples. Honestly, we were social- distanced more than the people  sitting and drinking. The music is mainly suitable for swing, nightclub two-step, and the occasional rumba. We were able to do waltz and rumba several times in Explorers, where we were the only couple to dance. We have always found Princess mid-size ships have the best ballroom dancing venues. They play a better range of styles. I’m sure we could have asked for cha cha or foxtrot, but we don’t like trying to direct the musical selections.

Next time you cruise with Viking please do talk to the band about song choice. They were delighted to have someone that danced make a request. We tried to give a style and tempo more than specific song and said if it worked into their schedule for the evening. They remembered us when we were on a second cruise and approached us to ask which nights we were planning to be there and if there was anything in particular we wanted to hear.
