I hope you saw my message last night regarding Marko and said hello, if it's the same Marko. He's great.

Thanks again for the excellent review. Love following along with you. I'm very surprised by the photo of the senior staff in post #315. You have a different captain than we did just 3 weeks ago. Captain Tasos was a highlight of the cruise, hysterically funny. Even did an evening comedy show with the cruise director, and some Greek dancing on the lido deck. I'm surprised they are changing out captains so soon after returning to cruising.

I did see your post, but when I was going to ask him yesterday, that was when CC was really having a hard time. I didn’t want to get your name wrong so I decided to wait.

We’ve mostly seen Wayan today, but Marko will be back later in the cruise.

I did find out that he’s working in Murano now instead of the Sky Observation Lounge. He said he really likes it. We are hoping to see him when we eat there later in the cruise.

I did not see many dressed up people on the Aug 1st, 7-night cruise.  First time I'd ever seen knee-length jean shorts and shower-style flip flops in the MDR, much less on chic night.  It was the most casually dressed cruise I've ever been on.  I'm still taking something a little dressy on my next cruise on the 27th because it's a little bit longer.

That's ridiculous.  I'll still have a suit on chic night and DW dressed to the nines.  COVID should not remove standards.

Mark and Angela,  y'all are wonderful.  Your comments have always made sense and your meal pics really make me hungry.  Actually looking forward to trying that braised beef raghou from the other day.  You're only halfway done and I'm sure most of us following you look forward to what's coming next.  BTW, I'm sure Mark contributes more than just eating extra bread.

But that's just me - NOT!  😀

Also, thought I'd add that I've kind of avoided Cruise Critic, because it was too painful to read, knowing cruising was off-limits and shut down for so many months, but how - Hurray!  I can partake again and it feels so good!  I have no idea where my original post went, but I was just asking how everyone feels on board now.  Are you comfortable?  Proof of vaccination?  We're going in Feb 2022

Yes. This is in the MDR. Dinner was great. No major hiccups. Our waiter/asst. waiter team seems to still be getting used to each other, but we were still happy overall.

Also, the sommelier was very attentive and suggested a substitute for the Decoy Cab (they were out).

I hope they get more Decoy by the sept.5th sailing it is our  fav.

Honestly, it was also getting a bit snippy for a while.  🙂

Lol. Mark really is a great sport. He has, on more than one occasion, reminded me to take a picture before I start eating (I have no self-control, you guys).

Even when I’m not posting on CC I take tons of vacation photos. After 22 years, he just takes it all in stride.

I am one of those people who feels that it’s important (for right now at least) to be cautious but not paranoid. We are trying to balance having a safe and healthy cruise with enjoying all of the things that we think make cruising great.

Everyone on board has seemed courteous and respectful for the most part. I’ll admit that I was a little more apprehensive than Mark, but everything feels very comfortable right now. The lower passenger count has helped with that.

Sommelier came by last night with a bottle. He remembered that I had asked for it. It was loaded in the ship in Ft Lauderdale, but hadn’t been distributed through the ship yet. He says now there’s plenty!

And it was delicious. 😁

Is there a Silent Disco?  DW has been after me forever to do that.  But I dance the same way I swim - like a brick.

Yes! It’s held at the martini bar. We haven’t done it yet, but looks so fun!

Finished off the entire bottle of Veuve. Mark says he only had one glass. For some reason, my memory is a little fuzzy.

Our cabana neighbors across the way are fast asleep. I think they have the right idea.

Wow! I’d love to know your YouTube channel. I think I’d love to watch your videos (if they’re public).

While the ships were lounging around waiting for passengers to be allowed to board, they still needed crew.  Including captains.  They switch off periodically.

So, after several showers, I feel comfortable stating the the provided shampoo is terrible. It’s probably okay if you have very short or very fine hair. Otherwise, bring your own. Even Mark, who absolutely Does. Not. Care. about shampoo is using mine.

The shower gel is fine and I actually like the  hand/body lotion. So, take all that for what it’s worth. 😊

don't miss it - I was just on and this was the best!

This has me written all over it! 😁

I’ll probably have to leave Mark in the casino for a while though. He would not be excited about this.

Sometimes I just don’t understand that man.
