Meraviglia - August - what attractions/activities are closed?

Hello all,

 

If you have sailed on Meraviglia very recently...

I would like to know what is currently closed in the Meraviglia for upcoming sailings (late August / early September).

For example:

- Bowling

- Flight simulator

- Saunas in the Thermal Suite

- Any other Yacht Club perk

 

For example I know they are not having Circle du Soleil. I read an earlier post that maybe bowling is closed.

Unfortunately, it seems MSC does not provide a list of what is open/close.

Just got off the ship on Monday.  The bowling lane I was told was broken. Waiting on parts.  
I did see the Formula 1s in use.  Sorry can’t speak to the flight simulator.   The Carousel Lounge was used for musical acts.   
 

We were not in the YC or visited the spa so I can’t speak for to that.  However all the bars were open.  Evening Karaoke in the TV studio, shows in the main lounge were happening.  We only sailed with 862 passengers.

Thermal Suite was wonderful, and only available for Vacc'd guests

Casino was only available for vacc'd guests

Sky Lounge bar was only avail for vacc'd guests

Nothing closed in the YC area. And plenty of chairs marked for social distancing.

We are vaccinated.

Even the saunas were open? Everything in the thermal suite? I'm surprised, actually!

Was on Aug 2 trip Formula and Flight Simulator were both closed. Waiting for our refund for Fun Pass, which we never used due to teo things closed is what we wanted to do. I think I saw bowling open

  Just got my 'corrected ' set off boarding passes and they eliminated all activities for children on them.

You're so welcome. Yes, the saunas were open. The steam rooms and all those different showers were open. I was actually the only there... ha! But one of the steam rooms was having mechanical issues, so I was all by myself until some maintenance workers came to fix it.

Haven't used a sauna in a year and a half, will definitely use it now! Thank you!

Was smoking allowed in Casino?

I never saw smoking in the casino.  Never really saw it on the ship at all, August 16-20.

I'll be traveling with my 10 year old in Oct.  I'm curious what type of activities did they eliminate?  I'm wondering if we should cancel.

Answering my own question after sailing Sep 03-06 2021:

 

- Flight simulator: closed

- Starwars interactive game: closed

- Bowling: closed

- F1: open. It costs $10 for a few minutes of play (I think it's 10 minutes)

- Thermal Suite: everything open, including saunas.

- All Yacht Club perks open, including private pool and hot tub.
