Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the second hull of the Prima class which was previously known as Project Leonardo. Leonardo 2, Leo 2, Prima 2, etc. :classic_happy:

She's scheduled for a 2023 delivery. My guess is that will be March-May:

Prima's megablock was floated in at the end of October 2020, with Covid and being a first in class her building pace might be slower than her successor.  Currently Prima is set for a a June 2022 delivery and there's no mention of delay at this moment. So that makes some 19 months building time from the moment the megablock entered the Fincantieri Marghera dry dock in Venice. Leo 2 entered the dock in the first week of September 2021 plus some 19 months, March, April, May 2023..?

Onetime I ran across specific delivery months for each Leonardo ship but giving the constantly changing world and it was just one website mentioning them I kind of disregarded them, without itineraries out there's nothing to book so we will go by one at a time!

Rumored names were posted in the Everything.. Prima thread and there was also mention of a Prima Plus/Prima+ class in the future for the ships on order. Similar to the Breakaway class which evolved into the Breakaway Plus class.

My biggest curiosity is if the ships will be any different from each other, which is to be expected with the long delivery timeline of a new ship each year up to 2027! And that's good news for us, hopefully we will have some different Everything.. threads along the way instead of cookie cutter ones! :classic_laugh:

Well, let's get to the point..

My friends and fellow enthusiasts, I hereby declare this thread opened! :classic_biggrin:

(Oh and I only had to because mixing the two ships in one thread would be messy, not because NCL wants or pays me to do.. :classic_ninja: Probably rather the opposite, makes sense not getting any free chocolate strawberries. But we did not even got our hands on the full deck plans this time? Okay, we had the track, the slides.. :classic_blush:)

@FreestyleNovice Thanks again for starting this thread, weren't enough spies on this one compared to the Prima thread but it was fun and informative, will there be another one for #3?

You are very welcome, whilst I hoped Viva would be different from Prima its build was less documented too. Often I had to double check which ship I was looking at on social media! :classic_blink:

That and a current busy offline life led to a less active thread, but fear not as we have read the the third ship will probably be a Plus.. and that is worth investigating and sleuthing! I am currently onboard a ship of what NCL now calls competition (Celebrity) so is there a keel layed yet now Viva has left? So to be continued.. :classic_ninja:

Let’s hope for enough spies, rumours and leaks! :classic_laugh:

I’m sure I’ve missed this somewhere- but when exactly is the first cruise?

I know it’s changed several times.

We are booked in February out of San Juan

Just wondering when we might start seeing live reviews 😎

Went to book my Vibe passes for the Dec 8 sailing and they were sold out before they ever went on sale (assuming this is latitudes status related. I'm only silver). Looks like only having 2 US sailings made this a popular trip.

Wooooof! Crossing my fingers I'll be able to snag a pass before we sail

Doubt Latitude status has anything to do with it, probably like restaurant reservations only aa certain number can be booked prior to your specific sailing.

Just saw that no entertainment other than maybe Beetlejuice, will be available on our 9/4 sailing. Most shows, Syd Norman’s band, and Press Your Luck, start in late Sept/October. The starting dates are in the app under “entertainment”.

I think those dates may be indicative of when pre-booking will be allowed rather than when the entertainment is starting from. I'm on the Aug 26th sailing and nothing can be pre-booked - Someone contacted NCL and they said, because it is brand new ship, pre-booking options may not be available for 6 months. It is all "Please book onboard." for us currently. We were told last week that Beetlejuice is not ready so would not be on shown on our sailing, but the email advising us of this, specifically mentioned Icons and Syd Normans as entertainment options which would be available.

"there will be plenty of programming and entertainment options on board, including show-stopping performances in Syd Norman's Pour House; 'ICONS,' a concert experience featuring songs from musical legends from Dolly Parton to Lady Gaga; as well as a number of other musical talent and comedians to fill your days at sea."

The first passengers board tomorrow, so we'll have on-the-ground information then.

I’m seeing messages like this for everything except Beetlejuice, which just says to book onboard.

Above that on the app, it says "Please book on board. Pre-bookings not accepted". The date is new and I see it too, but they hardly have no entertainment onboard!! I'm just trusting what they said in the email about Icons (not that I want to see it) and Syds (which I do as I like a live band). But we'll know more tomorrow when the first passengers board. They're hardly keeping all entertainment venues closed........

This is what it says for ICONS:

A concert experience featuring the songs of musical legends (icons) from the last six decades. From Dolly to Gaga, our cast of vocalists and orchestra will pay tribute to the music these legendary artists created by collectively showcasing hits that everyone can sing along to.

Available beginning 9/20/2023

and SYD'S:

Sing along to your favorite hits as you sip on specialty cocktails at Syd Norman’s Pour House. The interactive experience and rollicking house band will take you back to rock’s glory days.

Available beginning 10/9/2023

Did you call NCL?  I would strongly suggest calling if you haven't already.

Pretty sure that is not the case, there have been no reports that they hold Vibe passes for onboard.

Yeah I called the main number and my pcc. Both said "it's not available check back tomorrow" which doesn't make a lick of sense since yesterday was day 120 when they were supposed to go up.

Haven and higher tier latitudes get earlier booking dates so I'm guessing they gobbled all of them up.
