One More Time: Live From Mariner Of The Seas 10/22

Recommended Posts

oh hallelujah I am finally able to post again. I have not been able to post since last night. I have finally just switched browsers after nothing else I tried worked. Lets get caught up.

Casino did okay. Started out slow then got hot for a while. Going back down so I walked away. Only down about $30 and I was not there 5 minutes and the host brought me a certificate for a free ocean view. I think she is trying to tell me I spend too much time here 🙂

I'm pretty booked up but I'll look it over and see if there is anything i can squeeze in.

At the bamboo room now. Just ordered a pina colada.

Got a drawing in the casino at 10 and then I think I will head to the 1030 show in the theater.

i tried making that last post at least a dozen times. I don't know what the issue was. CC gives me fits on mobile all the time but it usually comes back in a few minutes. Not this time.

Next I got a habenero grapefruit daiquiri from Schooner bar.

I hope my pictures are not going to continue to rotate themselves.

The pina coloada was good but this was super. Yum.

I made it to the welcome show but was fading fast. Cd Marcelo said 2500 onboard then later said 2400 which I suspect is the more accurate number after the no shows. So capacity is around 77% right now. Its light but if you were hoping to sail at 40% I think we're past that at least on short sailings.

After the show I was too sleepy to redeem my final diamond voucher and annoyed at my tech issues so I went to the room and passed out just before midnight.

Hello! Was your pre-covid test PCR? Thought RCL accepted Rapid? Thanks in Advance!

Could you tell me who the Diamond concierge is by chance as well?

It is accepted but I do not have access to free rapid testing where I live. I got the standard pcr from CVS.

Diamond concierge is Norma Zarate.

Breakfast was....an interesting experience.

First let me say I personally have no concerns with social distancing. I am an introvert and I prefer to be alone.

When I got to the dining room I was behind a line of 9 people. They were asking if anyone wanted to share a table and taking those that said yes right in. I declined. I'm in no hurry.

When I made it to the front of the line they kept saying the word share. It was hard to understand through his mask and accent but I could understand share and I kept saying no thank you and shaking my head no.

I was seated at a table for two. And then so was another man.

Really. I didn't want to make a big deal at this point so I shared a table with a stranger. Btw neither of us was wearing our vaccination bracelet.

Last night they brought out cake to the table next to me and apologized they could not sing happy birthday due to protocols, but this is okay.

Again I personally have zero concerns at home in Florida and certainly not on a vaxxed and tested ship, but I don't like sharing a table with someone I don't know.

Breakfast itself was good. I got an omelet although I forgot to take a picture, I just wanted to hurry up and eat and move on.

We are just now arriving in Nassau. Seems later than normal.

It was very cool this morning and I considered getting off long enough to walk around a little bit which I rarely do but I'm feeling energetic this morning.

Now it is hot and muggy and looks like it could rain any minute and I am rethinking that plan. I'll see how it looks in a little while. For now I'm gonna go over the compass and see whats going on around the ship to get into.

That is very interesting as I was asked to see my green band some 4 different times.  This was on the Oasis Sept. 5 sail out of Bayonne.  It happened 3 times in entering and re-entering the casino. As it was Formal night and I my long sleeve shirt was obscuring the band.  Happened one more time at the Adult show for the same reason.  Was a bit annoyed as the ship was sailing at 100% adult vaxxed.  Asked why since all adults are vaxxed and the venues that I was stopped at are adults only,  Was given either no comment or some vague reason.

That was the first sailing right? I think that things are a bit more relaxed now. I carry it on me in case I am challenged but so far its been no problem. I'm also wearing the old style silicone band I got on a past cruise but I'm sure that has nothing to do with why I am getting by.

I made a mistake at lunch.

For my starter I ordered the shrimp cocktail.

This was good but then I messed up and ordered a Caesar salad with filet.

The filet was great but the salad....was a salad.

For dessert I got the warm chocolate cake which after not gorging myself was the best its ever tasted.

I'm happy to report i can post again from my regular browser. Chrome was flipping my pictures for no apparent reason so hopefully I can continue to use samsung.

I walked around the ship hoping to tire myself into a nap. I don't think it worked I feel fine and there is a bunch of construction noise outside my balcony. I should have eaten more...food coma always requires a nap 😅

I really hope I can hang tonight I want to see the 1130 comedy show.

Thank you again for posting the wonderful reviews. You’re helping a lot of us.

Does the solarium roof close in bad weather?

The pool and surrounding chairs are exposed to the elements. No roof to close.

The hot tubs and seating towards the windows are covered. Hot tubs are close enough you may still get rained on in bad weather.

Ugh that would really bother me.

Dinner was good. I needed a crane to lift me onto the pool deck. I'm trying to watch cruella on the big screen but don't think I will be able to get i to it. Its too lively to really hear.

I'll post some dinner pictures in a bit there was way too much food but it was worth it.
