Jam, glad to see you back on board. I’m new to living in FL and went crazy booking cruises since everything is drivable. Port Canaveral is a short 1.5 hour trip south. Bonus is getting to stop at Sams on the way back.

I board Mariner on 10/29 on a B4B departing 11/15. Like I said crazy.

Looking forward to your restaurant reviews. I have the D+ BOGO but wish it included hibachi. I wonder if they would ever include Playmakers in this promo. Buy X food credit and receive X.

I can relate I've gone crazy too for someone still working. You are going to love Mariner the crew are amazing and will fall all over you once they realize you are B2B.

If you go to Jonny Rockets will you ask on pricing for milkshakes with the UDP? We board in 11 days and I'd love to know the cost so I can let my teens know their limit.

Looking forward to reading about you adventure!

I will find out, though I suspect it is full price but will find out for you.

I missed the important detail but just overheard a crew member saying they expect a lot of people twenty mumble hundred. It sounded like 2500 is what they said. Not everyone will make it im sure but I will ask for an exact count after we set sail.

Just checked Windjammer is open for dinner 6-830.

Jam,

Enjoy your cruise.

We have two Mariner cruises coming up.

Our old 3 Diamond drink vouchers were valid for 5 to 8 PM so was wonder if that has changed.

We would be interested in knowing if the Windjammer is being opened at night yet.

Thanks and have fun....

I can confirm Windjammer is open for dinner. 6-830. Keep in mind this is based on capacity so it may not be open on your sailing.

Thank you! I'm guessing it's full price too, but there isn't a price that I could see on the menu, so I have no idea what full price is.

Food. Oh glorious food.

So I have always been a big guy. I've never really worried about the way I should. I happened to step on a scale in early September and I was the heaviest I've ever been.

Then I cruised for 16 out of 18 days. I weighed again and I had put on another 12 pounds. I've not really done anything drastic but I have changed my eating habits since I got back from Odyssey two wideation.

I have no idea where I'm at but hopefully I'm going the right direction. I'm sailing the next 3 weekends in a row so I'm not going to bother until these trips are done.

So lunch at Jamie's was a welcome change. My stomach is singing hallelujah 🙌

Truffle tagliatelle as a starter.

Seriously so good.

Ji burger.

Burger was good but there are much better things here i probably wouldn't order again. And the best burger on the ship is still at Playmakers 😜

And for dessert I got the lemon meragne cheesecake.

Rooms opened at one. I was stalking the halls waiting for them to open. In the room now getting unpacked then I think I'm going to check out the diamond lounge now that I can 🙂 and I want to see if the steam room and sauna are open. They were on Odyssey but they came with a cost which apparently makes it less of a safety risk 🙄

Miami is the best for sailaway of the Florida ports. Other than that I loathe everything about Miami.

Not trying to be nosy but what is it you loathe about Miami?  I hate the traffic and not too many people speak English but other than that......what's to loathe?  Just curious.

Can you sit at the bar in Playmakers and Boleros yet?  Last month they still did not have bar seating

Maybe loathe is too strong of a word. The traffic is a big part of it. It's awful.

I've had a lot of trouble finding a good place to park. I dealt with a lot of disreputable companies and finally just started parking at the port at 22-25 a day. I have just recently found a place I like at a reasonable price.

And finally, embarkation and disembarkation used to be a mess. This has gotten much better even pre covid but it seemed like chaos every time a couple years ago.

I still cruise from there all the time but I much prefer pt.canavaral.

How exciting!!  I hope you have a wonderful time!  If you happen to notice how much they are selling the drink package for on embarkation day, that would be great knowing.

$89 and bogo half off so $66.75 per person.

Sometimes my brain fails me.

I'm going to work when I get off the ship Monday. When I was unpacking I noticed I had a nice shirt dor work and thought why did I pack that instead of leaving it in the car to change into Monday before going in.

Just now I realized I left my long pants in the car for work Monday. Totally forgot I was supposed to pack a nice outfit for dinner.

Doh! Not like I've done this a few times before.

Guess I am the rebel wearing shorts to chops now. Oops.

Off to enjoy a casual steakhouse dinner now.

Thank you again for posting the wonderful reviews. You’re helping a lot of us.

Does the solarium roof close in bad weather?

I've walked through many times and can't say with certainty but I feel like it is enclosed. I'll verify that next time I walk through and let you know. Thank for reading along.

Dinner at chops was amazing. I'm very pleased with chops on this ship, Freedom did not make a great first impression.

Bavarian coffee because I need some caffeine.

For my starter I ordered the crab cake and black pepper bacon.

Both were superb.

For my main I got the spicy shrimp.

Spicy is their adjective not mine but it was very good.

For dessert I got the cheesecake.

After dinner I walked through Windjammer to survey the dinner setup. It was small but still a pretty decent selection and much better spread than carnival is putting out right now.

I'm way too tired for 7 at night. I swear last weekend cruise all I did was sleep. I want to be a little more productive this time. I'm in the cabin for a few minutes. Thirty tops to let my phone charge then I'm heading out for some casino action and I still got three diamond drinks to burn outside of the casino where driks are already free for me.
