Curious about noise level under bridge deck

We are thinking about switching cabins from deck 10 to a deck 15 forward facing balcony located directly under the bridge deck on the Mardi Gras.  Has anyone stayed in these cabins? What are the noise levels like having the bridge directly above, is it even noticeable?

Not on the Mardi Gras, but on the Horizon last month and several previous cruises (most likely the Liberty).  There was silence from above every time.

If you are below the bridge you will need to keep your curtains closed at night but I haven't ever heard noise when below the bridge

Agreed.  Zero noise.  But requires curtains drawn after dark.  No issues whatsoever.

do you also have to keep the curtains drawn if you are on the same deck as the bridge and near it? or if you are right above it?

Yes, all forward-facing cabins must have curtains tightly closed, to help forward nighttime visibility from the bridge.  

 

A plus, on ships with the "secret" decks in front:  you can find a spot that has almost no light impinging on you...and for us (on the Magic), the sky was glorious.  Even saw the Milky Way (galactic disc) for the first time in many, many years.  ❤️
