Updated Mask Protocols on Royal Caribbean

There is a new thread in the Royal section about mandatory indoor masking that will be required for the next few weeks.

Easier to get back from Florida vs an island in the Caribbean if we drive. I'll be checking out last minute deals to replace our AI.

No different than living in Ontario..except prettier view and better weather.

That comment made me smile.

I am counting down the days to my cruise and trying to be positive and not stressed out.

I have been explaining to my 14 year old when we will need to wear a mask and he's like "yeah mom I get it."

It isn't anything new.

I actually feel sorry for the front line crew of the cruise lines sailing from U.S. ports.

Trying to enforce this indoor masking policy will be like herding cats. 😾

We just got off HAL Eurodam this week and it was very well adhered to without much proding required from staff. Staff politely reminded folks if they 'forgot' their mask but it was really rare.

We found the policy very much emulated being in Ontario, You wear your mask until you are seated at your dining table etc. It appeared to be a little more strange for some the first couple of days, but most everyone seemed to climatize to it pretty readily.

Still debating whether to go on our cruise next week, but I will say that we are very happy that Royal has added his stricter protocol.  We have no problem wearing masks indoors. Kids wear them all day at school, and whatever it takes to keep us all safer.  We are even going on Anthem, an indoor ship so will be wearing them even more than a warm weather cruise.
