Bonaire wanted to see your vaccine card to go through a second security. Aruba, they encouraged you to have at least a picture of it just in case. You will enjoy it. Definitely a great change up itinerary.

Also, I found it odd if not just an exercise in futility, that once you disembark in Bonaire you still have to wear your mask. But just the first 200 yards until you make it outside of the gate!

So I am standing outside in country that has ruled that masks outside are not a requirement but they have determined the first 200 yards to be where covid lives but after the gate no covid outside?

OK Bonaire I see what you did there. 👏

Then my friend showed up. He was so cool. He liked taking pictures, but I’m pretty sure he only spoke Dutch. He looked very confused when I talked to him.
More water pictures. Snorkeling was good. Water was very clear. Not as much fish variety as Bonaire, but lots to see down there.

After snorkeling and swimming for 2 hours, I was thirsty. This was the hardest place to get a cocktail. They couldn’t make pina coladas. They couldn’t make a vanilla daiquiri. No strawberry daiquiris. I finally asked what they could make and ended up with a passion fruit daiquiri. It was ok. Not worth the 2 years of my life it took to figure out what off the menu they could make.

Heading to Bonaire and Aruba on Horizon later this month. Was there anything special they required so you could get off the ship at either port??? So happy you got to go to both ports!!

We did Bonaire before Covid and read in the boards about a Twizzie tour.  It was not a Carnival excursion which is rare for us but it was great. We saw so much of the island.

Then about 1, the driver came back and we shared again back to the cruise area. Needed to grab stuffed animals and shop a little. Plus, I wanted food.
Got over to the floating bridge area and saw all the fun buildings. Also, the love lock thing.
