RCCL Receipt ... FCC used does not match the 'paid' amount

I booked a cruise direct with RCCL over the phone and got an email receipt.  It shows that I used $1700 plus in FCC and the line that shows paid says $1399.  Anyone else have this problem?

The fcc will only cover cruisefare. Taxes and fees are billed to your card. If you have leftover fcc it will be reissued. Call and ask to have the billing explained.

Did you use a 125% FCC?  If yes, there should be a line item (TBZ5-Global Suspension FCC) on the invoice for the 25% part of the FCC.  Add that line item to the Paid Amount.

Look in the line items and you will see a line called TBZ5.  Your FCC is two parts.  Cash that you paid plus the 25% bonus.  The cash shows up as a payment the 25% bonus shows up as a TBZ5 discount.

Yes that extra 25% is handled differently and it even caused a recent agent helping me to put his thinking cap on as well.  

 

I find RCI creative accounting to be fascinating at best.  or not
