We have booked a Premium Balcony on the Emerald. The description says 271 sf. .  Is that additional  space all extra balcony ? Is there any extra interior room over a standard balcony ?  Thanks

Nope. Premium simply refers to location. Not any extra space in the cabin, no extra perks, nada - just "better" location.

You may have a larger than standard balcony, if you're on Caribe deck on Emerald Princess, you definitely have an oversized balcony, about 9' x 9', half covered half uncovered.

There's nothing different about the cabin itself at all..

Is your cabin around mid ship, deck 10, like C601? Then the interior is the standard balcony configuration, 191 sq ft with one desk chair. The balcony is 9ft x 9ft with 5ft of cover and 4ft not covered.

With very few exceptions across the entire fleet all balcony cat cabins have the same interiors.

Yes it is mid ship in that area. Thanks

If you're going to be in a cabin on Caribe deck, mid-ship, then that is a great location with, as others have said, a larger, half-covered balcony.  We love the Caribe deck balconies!   Enjoyed ours with an ultimate balcony dinner--plenty of room.

Enjoy!

I think the Deluxe Balcony cabins are slightly larger, at least on the Royal class ships.  In between a balcony and mini-suite size.  We had one selected until we upgraded.

You are correct, a Deluxe Balcony cabin is larger than a standard balcony.

And yes, Deluxe Balcony cabins are only on Royal class ships.

OP is sailing on Emerald, a Grand/Gem class ship. And it doesn't have Deluxe Balcony cabins..

They're asking about a Premium Balcony - and the cabin itself is same size. Premium refers to location, and may include a larger than standard balcony (which it appears to in this case).
