discount after final payment quick question.

Our son booked a JS on Navigator two weeks ago and payed in full as it was past final payment date. Today they are offering kids sail free, can he ask for a new price or a OBC for the price difference or maybe a upgrade to a owners suite. Thanks

Hopefully one of the TA's will answer shortly. My son has now been on hold with Royal for over 30 minutes.. got love royal..

Yes , the phones are very busy. Took almost an hour to get some FCC's applied to a cruise.  Guess they need more people answering phones.

Sometime since the restart I got OBC equal to the price drop after the final payment date. I found the price drop. My travel agent called for the OBC.

Upgrade, yes, OBC for the price drop, no. The price drop only worked under CWC and his booking doesn't qualify (new CWC protected bookings ended last month).

I am now past final payment date. I originally Booked a ocean view because balcony was a crazy $1000 more per person.   I noticed on Friday that balcony price had decreased to what I paid for ocean view.  I was able to grab cabin 9078 on Radiance which has a huge oversized balcony.  I am so excited.

conversely my brother and his wife did originally get a balcony. Have tried to get a OBC price adjustment to no avail. I told him to try to upgrade, like I did, to a spacious balcony category and see if that works.

Not to confuse the topic, but I was surprised when after we made final payment, they granted us a PD. I always thought that, after you make final payment, they wouldn't grant any PD's.

Update to original post.  Son's is four weeks from cruise date, he called today and was given a $242 non refundable OBC for the kids sail free program that started a week ago. He has two kids aged 1 and 5. At the same time he switched from MTD to early tradional, he wants a deck 4 table on the balcony railing.
