gaylemh Posted May 8, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2022 Has anyone had any actual experience using a car service to get to the airport after the cruise? I’m not interested in shuttles.
CruiserBruce Posted May 8, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2022 You might want to ask on the West Coast Departures board. Uber or taxi would be easier and cheaper. Its a flat rate from the port to the airport.
don't-use-real-name Posted May 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2022 Make sure the vehicle for hire is able to handle your crowd of -2- ? or more ? Some uber/taxis are compact cars - 4 people or more a van would be more suitable !
nslatin Posted May 15, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2022 We have used Quality Town Car for sedans and SUVs. Great customer service and very reliable. https://qualitytowncar.com
Dan G Posted May 15, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2022 I live in Seattle and am in the tour business. Some people keep mentioning this mysterious 'flat rate from the pier'. While there are some flat rate cabs you must prearrange them. Same with towncars legally you must call. During the pandemic the towncar provider authorized by the Port of Seattle went out of business so that left a big void plus Shuttle Express went out of business. Their website got bought by a limo firm and the rates tripled. There are a few very reliable larger towncar providers. https://a-alimo.com/ is one and their rates are listed on the website. CruiserBruce Posted May 16, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2022 @Ferry_Watcher...no flat rate taxi fee this year? Please confirm there used to be a flat rate from Pier 91 to the airport.
dog Posted May 16, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 16, 2022 Saw posted in taxi- downtown to SEATAC flat rate-$40. We paid $12 + tip from pier to Avis downtown.
Dan G Posted May 16, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 16, 2022 downtown zone is not part of pier 91. There has never been a 'flat rate' from the pier, however there is one large flat rate taxi firm, which is also the exclusive cab at Seatac. flatrateforhire.com or eastsideforhire.com both the same company though. Those websites don't work and when I google flat rate taxis a lot of small companies have 'taken over' those sites. Since the 'flat rate towncars' went out of business during covid you basiclly have a ton of guys with one car advertising as 'flat rate' but they aren't really a bargain. Seattle regulates cabs and there has NEVER been an 'official' flat rate from Pier 91. From Pier 66 yes as that is part of the downtown hotel zone. I suggest you book with a larger limo firm or use a shuttle such as seattleexpress.com https://a-alimo.com/ is a larger limo firm with reasonable rates which are posted. I'd be a bit careful of using some of the one guy and one car type operations.
