Arrived at the pier at 10:45 am this morning. I was in my cabin at 11:17 am. Very easy check in process. Set sail 30 minutes ago. Finally back to cruising after a 3 year absence. So looking forward to this week in the Caribbean.

cruzrbachoua, formal nights are Monday and Thursday.  RMS Olympic, I asked our waiter tonight how many passengers were on board and he told me 3,000. Just left the casino and it was packed.

Ken The Cruiser just got off 18 days on this ship.  In his thread he said there's supposed to be 3,000.

That was what Gary, the CD, said the night before we disembarked. To get a more accurate figure, I would suggest going to Guest Services and ask them as they will just look it up on the computer and tell you. That's where I got the 1,650 passenger count for our 18 day cruise.

Have a great cruise!!

Thanks for the formal nights that us what I was thinking but wanted to confirm and can now do our specialty bookings.  As pspman92 stated would love pics of patters and menus if you get a chance even if posted once you are home from what I hope is a fabulous time.

EEKS...that is just about at 100% full..loved it when we sailed last year with about 40% on Majestic.

A friend who is on this voyage said when he checked on the Internet last week that this cruise and the next segment are both listed as sold out.

To go along with that, when we were at GS, we overheard a crew member tell someone on the phone who wanted to stay on and book the next leg that there were no cabins available.

They are all sold out (except for about 3 rooms on the May 28 sailing) all the way until June 11 and the June sailings are filling fast.  I hope the staff is ready for full ships.

Oh no! So many people! I hope they have stocked up on:

1 bacon

2 vodka

3 rum

4 cheesecake

5 shrimp

6 ribeye steaks

7 white wine

not necessarily in this numerical order except for BACON 🥓🥓🥓

I’ve been watching YouTube videos today talking about staffing issues on cruise ships. In some cases cruise lines are capping bookings or canceling cruises for booked passengers. I have not heard anything about Princess.....so can you tell me if staffing is adequate on the Caribbean Princess?

In January on the Sky the low numbers of staff was noticeable, but the ship was less than 50% booked....so no problems.

so how is it on board?

Thank you.

There is another live thread for this cruise and on there they are reporting several problems with a nearly 90% full ship and not enough staff and also issues with the medallion system working on there for the crew, ordering drinks etc.
