What about priority debarkation? Self service (no putting out bags), are they still giving out a letter saying when/where to meet to debark before they start calling other muster stations? The web site is confusing.

Yep ,you still get the letter for debarkation. Carry off your bags, or leave them outside your door.

Yes you can self assist and carry your bags if you want early oy you will get luggage tags 1-4 which will put you in the first called group for debarkation.

Went to a party on the Miracle in April.  Drinks only.  I can do without the party or the OBC, but if they do away with the free laundry the other cruise lines will be looking better.

AGREED.   I would rather pay an extra $500 (or whatever) to cruise on a different cruise line than to pay $15 for a bag of laundry if they don't give it to me for free.  😃😃😃😃😃

My wife and I have cruised three times on Carnival since the restart.  We are generally happy with how our Platinum benefits are holding up.

1.  We always take advantage of the free laundry.   Between the two of us, at least four bags of laundry depending on the length of the cruise.  Yeah, we don't give them anything delicate to wash, that's not smart.  But on one cruise we even brought a bit of dirty laundry on board for them to wash.  Not particularliy proud of that, though.

2.  My wife and I have each gotten $25 in cash (or funplay) from the casino cage in lieu of the tourney entries on each cruise.  Can't argue with cash money.

3.  The free bottled water was in our cabin right next to the water for purchase.  I realize that this is different from ship to ship.

4.  We do roll-off debarkation.  On each cruise, there was a special debarkation lounge for platinums, and we were among the first persons off the ship.  That was fantastic!

5.  I am happy there is a dedicated platinum/diamond line  at the guest services.  Is it always faster than the regular line?   Not always, but still maybe 90 percent of the time.   And sometimes the dedicated line is WAY FASTER.

6.  Free drink at sea day brunch was OK

7.   Didn't go to the platinum parties.   Even so, was happy to be platinum on these cruises!!!

I am sure your getting the Big bottles of water in your room mixed with the free pickup ones at any bar. The ones in your room are for purchase. If you open one of those it cost you verses the free one you can pick up at any bar. Yes we saw the 2 Big bottles in our room on MG but they had a price tag on them.

My " free" big water was exactly like the ones in the cabin. JH has also posted you can take one of the stateroom bottles as your perk and as noted by BO, you are charged and credited just like at the bar pick up

Got off Elation Saturday and on Thursday they had the Diamond Platinum Party and the servers walked around and handed out drinks and took orders.  Cruise director said to order as many as we wanted and he hinted that hors d'oeuvers would be back when things return more to normal.  I think I had 4 beers and could have had more.

Yes, I know...that's why I asked the question. Are you saying the drink coupons are only given on 5 day cruises and longer?

Yes, although I believe it will be a credit on your S&S card.

Looking to do another Carnival end of June. Did they start priority boarding for Diamond again or still no priority. They said it was because of the covid problem causing this.

No priority boarding with the exception of suites. You get 24 hour check in ahead on your bookings . They pack you in with everyone else and cattle herding begins . I definitely wear a mask at this point.

Pure nonsense blaming COVID.  The new terminal constructed at Port Canaveral has a spacious waiting area for Suite guests only   ( with glass walls so steerage can see but not mingle) but no such lounge for Diamond or Platinum. If they were planning to continue Priority Boarding for P/D or even just Diamonds, they would have created a dedicated waiting area for those guests.

Since the P/D parties are under the direction of the CD, you can definitely tell who is generous and who isn't.
