Do RC need to verify Covid tests on boarding day

Recommended Posts

The only local testing centre for travel purposes have scaled back their working hours recently. We are planning to test on a Friday for a Sunday boarding. The test centre will be closed when we are boarding. Do RC need to be able to verify results? If so we will need to change our plans.

That's a question that sounds like it's from someone concerned about getting caught with fake results. 😉

Could you imagine the delays if they stopped to call every lab?

😂 Im happy for them to keep the certs and ring them on the Monday. At this stage they can even use my phone if it means I can get on a ship.

I believe they got authorization to inquire and get this info, otherwise they would be challenged by now. (Not that they do this verification, but still)

The only verification they do is if you use a provider that does a QR code.  But you are better off taking either a paper copy of the results or a screen shot since internet coverage in the terminal may not work.

HIPAA just means they can't disclose your medical info to anyone without your permission.    But, none of that really applies anyway since they don't verify.

HIPAA (correct abbreviation) does not apply to this situation.

Also, the OP is in Ireland, so it is a moot point.
