Took a walk to the waterfront area Bayside Marketplace outside our hotel to grab some cocktails. It’s freaking HOT outside!!☀️🔥☀️;

We ate at a great Italian restaurant last night. Food was outstanding! We ordered a bunch of apps and shared.;

Our checkin time at the port was 9-9:30. It took about 12 minutes to get to the port. We got there around 9:30 and checked right in. It’s empty right now. Beautiful terminal!;

No it was about 7 min by taxi from our hotel. Take a car because the area does not seem very safe.

WiFi sucks so using our GlocalMe hotspot. They led us on the ship around 11:15. We went straight to Cagneys for lunch. The Caesar salad was a 10:10 forks!;

I've looked at these forward-facing fancy suites, but have decided against them due to my perception that they will be really windy. As you cruise, could you let us know how the wind impacts you when on the balcony?

That looks like 8201! I sailed there twice and 8001 twice. I love those suites.

 

@cruiseny4life I didn’t think the wind was too bad. The balcony is steel which blocks a lot of the wind when you’re sitting. If I’m standing at the railing, I loved the wind blowing in my face. What is difficult about the forward-facing suites is that your drapes have to be closed prior to sunset so the light from your room doesn’t interfere with the bridge which is two decks above you. I received a call from the bridge to turn my lights off if I was going to be back and forth from the balcony to the room. No big deal - I just turned the lights off in the living room and kept a light on in the bedroom so I could see when I went back in.

Will do! Sail away was great! It’s windy if you stand at the front of your balcony but where the table and hot tub is was ok. I’ll keep you posted.

Tomato soup at Cagneys lunch. My DD loved it!

We did sail away from our balcony. Thee were 2 Carnival and RCI Vision of the Seas along with us.

We had dinner at Cagneys. Food was good not great. 7:10 forks overall. The lobster bisque was too salty imo.

We just relaxed in our suite last night. Weird thing last night- our neighbors played some sort of video or a movie trailer over and over all - night - looong! We had trouble sleeping. So strange. We spoke to the concierge this morning. He said the room stewards would check on it today.

Cagneys for breakfast. I have missed the Haven breakfasts!
