Hello!

After you give the porter your checked bags is there a grocery store within walking distance to buy 12 pack cokes?

Gotta be careful with that since there are multiple cruise terminals in Seattle. One is downtown and near everything. The Carnival one (Smith Cove at Pier 91) is not.

There is nowhere within walking distance of the Pier 91 cruise terminal in Seattle. It would be several miles to one of the grocery stores in either the Queen Anne or Magnolia neighborhood.

There is a Whole Foods Market and a Total Wine store on 15th Ave W, about a mile from Pier 91.  A little awkward to cross over to, but clearly within walking distance

It might be a mile 'as the crow flies', but IMO not walkable from Pier 91.

@QTgas, I think it would be best to pick up your soda before arriving at Pier 91.  Are you arriving in Seattle the day of your cruise, or the day before?

Be sure that YOUR cruise line allows soda/pop to be brought onboard - things have changed this year on some lines.

You would want to walk north across the parking lots to the tall Magnolia bridge, go up the stairs then walk down the bridge to the light. Stay on the west side and cross the street. Whole Foods is one block across from Brown Bear car wash.

I'm really curious & ask this not in a snarky way at all....just how much does your cruise-line charge for a coke that makes walking this rather unpleasant route for 12 cokes worth it?  Honestly not being judge-y - just curious.

Not OP, but I've seen a lot of posts of people who really love a certain type of soda - Diet Dr. Pepper comes up as a frequent choice to board with as cruises don't typically carry it. Or if your cruise line is Pepsi owned and you like Coke products or vice versa, that comes up too. Not my thing but I won't stand in the way of someone's happiness on vacation 🙂

I have told this story before on CC - About 17 years age we went on first Alaska cruise.  I was one of those 3 PM afternoon Diet Coke M-F folks.  I brought my 12 pack on-board, but between all the time off the ship, or busy doing something else I never drank a single can of Diet Coke.  Even though I live in (near) Seattle and had driven to Pier 91, I left the 12 pack of Diet Coke on-board.

What I found is that that week not drinking Diet Coke changed my taste for it.  I ended up giving up any type of soda.  To this day, I just don't drink soda to speak of.  I will treat myself to a root beer float, or maybe a vanilla coke from an old style fountain.  The number of sodas I might drink throughout a year could be counted with the fingers of one hand.  I did find that I felt better after giving it up.

Anyway, I just thought I would share my experience!
