Booted From My Cabin. Where Should I go?

Sailing Saturday on the Eurodam!

I logged into the app to get my kids signed in and noticed they moved our stateroom!

To a room without a pullman bed (sofa bed only) and directly under Billboard Live.

Ummm.....no.

I called and was told this was due to "operational reasons" which seems a polite way of saying "we aren't going to tell you why we moved you." But the cabin we were in was an upgraded category.

I was sent on to some sort of resolution specialist who told me I could move to 1029 as assigned. Or I could take 1023, 1033, 135, 1050.......or I could go to 6006 or 6008.

What would you have chosen? (Then I'll tell you what I chose.)

I would pick 1050.  At least you will have a quad and it is on the opposite side of the ship from the Billboard Onboard location.  The adjoining door hopefully won't be an issue.  Are they refunding the difference between what you booked and what you are receiving?

6006 or 6008 if they had the beds you need. And no upcharge.

If you need the pullman bed, neither 6006 or 6008 will work for you.  They have the sofabed but not a pullman too.  I believe the sofabed is a twin-size bed.

1050 is under the Gallery Bar right where it opened to the Queens Lounge, which is where BBKings performs. Much worse than Billboard Onboard. BTDT on the N.Amsterdam.

Almost everything on Main Deck will be noisy.  I guess floor 6 will be your only option.  This happened to me on my last Rotterdam cruise.  I was on 4 and the room I was in was for covid quarantine.  They tried putting me under BB Kings.  I went to Customer Service and got a room on RD down the hall.  I only heard the boom boom boom a little, but that's not the same layout at ED.  I don't like to be in the front of the ship like that, but you will be between two stateroom floors which should be quiet.

Thanks, everyone. I went with 6008.

No pullman bed.....but now we have a verandah.

No, I wasn't asked to pay more for any of the options.

My only fear is the front of the boat might be really unsettling if waves are big......but I'll take the risk to avoid noise when mi kids should be sleeping.

Maybe you should make sure they didn't make a mistake.  I don't know how they put 4 people in a cabin for 3.  And, now that you officially have a verandah,  maybe they could move you to a verandah for 4.

I'm curious now too.  How old are your kids?  And does HAL know you have kids?
