Do you have to pay to use the washers and dryers on the Discovery?

We were just on the Discovery 2 weeks ago.  I used the laundry facility on Riviera deck.  Totally free.  The machines are not even equipped with token slots...they are free to use and detergent was available on a shelf.

Interesting.  I wonder how long that will last?  I was about to post that you pay on all the ships.  I guess the answer is that you only pay on the older ships.

Unlike the other Royal class ships, the Discovery appears to be free as it doesn't have the push in coin/token slots found on the other ships.

We sail on the Discovery for New Year's.  I'll report back if they are still free or not by then.

They may not be active, but that rectangular box on the washer in the foreground does look like a token box.  But this is a really nice change if guests are going to be able to use laundromats for free.

I can't imagine that they would be that generous and have free laundromats.  They probably have not had time to complete the installation of token machinery/dispensers.
