Live from Encore…sort of live anyway

Currently on the Encore having a lovely cruise. 
Embarkation in Haifa was delayed due to port construction. Took about 1 hour to get on bus, go to ship, check in pier side. 
 

Ship is in perfect condition. Food very good so far. Service good to very good. They are training some new people, but nothing disappointing. A few very minor hiccups.

 

Will try to report more.

Thank you for posting. Boarding in 25 days so thrilled to see someone posting who is currently on-board Encore. QQ about testing - are you visiting ports in Greece on this sailing and if so what were the testing requirements if any? From Seabourn app - testing required if you are embarking in a port in Greece but what if you are stopping in ports in Greece? Seems self explanatory I know...but just want to be sure 😉

 

Keep the reports coming when you can - most importantly enjoy your cruise !

No test needed to board, we are stopping in Greece and ending in Athens. They did not check our vaccine  cards either…they did others?…

Service is getting better and better if that’s even possible. Staff are really great Onboard. Food is outstanding all around . Did a tour to Lindos today on Rhodes.

Thanks for posting. It is great to hear that things aboard Encore are going well. We board Encore on Oct 30 in Piraeus for "14 Day Eastern Mediterranean Cruise" which also ends in Piraeus. I started a Roll Call for the trip and have had no responses. That left me wondering..."Is this to be a nearly empty ship?"  Is your ship full?  Glad to hear that the food and service are great ...but do you ever get an opportunity to have "local" food aboard ship, or do you have to depend on lunches ashore for that? Thanks, Jim

The roll calls for SB are always very sparse.  It doesn't mean anything.  First, most SB cruisers do not post here and most who post here don't sign up for a roll call.

We tended to gravitate here for dinner in August.Never a poor meal and some special orders accommodated.

Coral the Maitre d' is such a lovely girl.

Brilliant the Sommelier is a nice guy and looked after us and our wine needs in a professional and fun manner.

Ship has about 400 guests, so about 65% full.

Hello from Bodrum, Turkey. Had a nice local tour.

Missed lunch so ate at pool grill. It was ok for a burger. Service exceptional at the pool, get asked 10x per hour if you need a drink. They are walking around with fruit skewers too since it’s hot. Nice touch.
