Mardi Gras upsell question

We are on MG on Dec 3 for 7 days and had a regular balcony  deck 11 midship at $914 pp base rate.  It came with $500 OBC.

I “qualified” 🙄 for an upsell offer to an ocean suite deck 9 in the aft for additional $416 total.  I felt a little pressured to grab it … so I did.

Was that a bad deal?

Sounds like a good deal as long as you keep the $500 OBC from your original booking.

About how far before your cruise did they offer you "upsell"?

It looks like I posted that on Sept 23.  And the upsell was for my Dec 3 cruise on MG.

I think the reason I received this upsell was because I was just on the MG on Sept 10 and spent a ridiculous amount in the casino.  (Although I think my casino spend was a wash).
