There are two offers on this promotion that I would consider to be ULTIMATE OFFERS!! The 34-day Pacific crossing of the Noordam that leaves from San Diego a week from today and travels to Sydney, Australia with stops in Hawaii and Tahiti is $200(obc) for an inside with $397 taxes/fees. You can stay on the ship and add the 35-day Australia Circumnavigation cruise for $200(obc) for an inside with $717 taxes/fees, with debarkation in Sydney on December 17. There are no return sailings back to the USA or Canada until the spring so at that point you would have to either fly back home or swim!

BTW that is a great deal  . Was this deal sent out only to certain people ? We are  3 star mariners & never get these in e-mail  form HAL   .The one you describe is a no brainer especially taking the Have it All packages

I have no solid evidence to back this up but my guess would be the more time you spend logged in the HAL website searching various sailings you may be interested in and even leaving some incomplete bookings, the more the computer analytics tells them that this person is actively searching for cruises and deals. Calling your PCC or TA and telling them specifically what you want to book doesn't leave the same trail that the computer website searches do.

We have gotten three free room casino deals in the past 14 months.  In our experience, the offers only come via email, there is no reference to any of them when you log in to your HAL online account.  The offers include a 1.800 number for booking purposes.  We have booked four cruises using these offers (two recently completed, and another two to be completed by the end of 2022)

Prior to recieving these offers we had not sailed with HAL since 2017, and we were only one star mariners.  We did use the casino on those earlier HAL cruises, but not to excess (that is subjective, I know).

As someone else has pointed out here, don't expect to recieve these offers if you regularly book HAL cruises at close to retail price.  HAL has no incentive to offer you these special deals!

We did not gamble on our one HAL cruise to Alaska this June. Only sailed HAL once. I had not been searching HAL cruises but had looked at RCI recently. I wish we could do an Australia sailing on Noordam, but we both still work and don't have that much vacation time. Oh, and we had booked through a travel agent.

For those asking why I would ask if it's a good deal, sometimes a good deal isn't really a good deal. Wanted to hear from people that have done it before. We still have to pay taxes, port fees, gratuities, etc.

Once the email is received by you the offers WILL show up if your logged in online as a Promotional fare. Any itinerary that is part of the promotion will show $200 as the best fare for that cruise. Another thing to note is there is no single supplement added for solo cruisers like myself if you just stick with the inside room offer.

I have booked full fare, and discount; years in advance and a few weeks ahead; i gamble some and DW does not; I check often and DW does not at all. Lately DW has been receiving the best offers. If you aren't receiving offers, try setting up an acvount for your travel companion. I did and found the best offers that way.

I've been on exactly one HAL cruise, and I received this promotion on 09/15 for a summer 2023 cruise (didn't use it because I already have one booked and that wasn't on the list).  And then on 09/30 I received another free stateroom offer for Mexico, Caribbean, and Panama Canal cruises.  These offers are great and appreciated but I'm too young to retire and obviously the offers are for less desirable times.

If you're not getting these promotions...perhaps the Cruise Critic forum isn't alone in noticing "the lady doth protest too much, methinks."

Same for me, and I actually wonder if they're sending out so many of these knowing that many people aren't in a position to use them. I have a HAL cruise booked for next year already (that isn't in the free options), and that's the only one I'll be able to do. So I take one look at the free stateroom emails and then delete them.

Well so far i have received and took advantage of an Azamara offer on a suite for less than an interior (i had never sailed Azamara before).  I also got a Free Celebrity 7 day cruise for two in a balcony from their casino promo.  I had sailed celebrity before but had never spent a cent in their casino.    So there are special offers floating around , now i will hope for an email from HAL.

Yup. It’s a great deal. The final line of the small print says that you’re allowed to use one stateroom per cruise for up to 3 separate cruises.

We booked back to back to back on the Rotterdam, so we will be onboard for 32 days for about $CAN 3500.

i can’t imagine a less expensive way to be out of the snow in Canada for a month.

edit: I forgot to mention that we get $US 400 per cruise, so it’s cheaper in that pretty well covers the gratuities.

You might be correct. I recently began looking at cruises again and these offers began coming in one after the other. My wife is 3 star and I’m 2, so we’re surprised that I was the one to receive the offers.

Cruising right now for 51 nights & will be 4-Star afterwords and have NEVER received anything like this. Nor have we ever been offered an upgrade or even an upsell. Have booked directly & through travel agents and spend $0.00 in the casino. What gives here?

I got the e-mail and have been looking at the listed cruises. For those of you who booked and upgraded, were you able to do that at the time of booking? The e-mail says free inside cabin, but you can book another cabin type by paying an upgrade fee?

I'm no expert on this stuff; we have a couple of cruises this fall that are the first "free" ones we've done.  When we booked, there was an option to upgrade (we had OV free), but it was a significant extra cost, probably $1000 or so.  For one of our cruises we chose to pay for "Club Orange", which gave us our choice of any OV cabin (we picked one of the "spa" large OVs on deck 10) - I think it cost us about $450 for 16-day cruise.  Close to the cruise date, we got offered an OV upgrade for another $300, but chose to stick with what we have.  I'm not sure if we could have cancelled the Club Orange at that point or not (we don't care much about the other Club Orange benefits).

Not sure what  your point is.  If you spend nothing in the casino .   .  .  you should not expect to get subsequent casino offers.

The upgrade prices were not good at the time we  booked our free cabin cruises.  On one of those cruises -- on the Volendam sailing this Saturday, October 8 -- we recieved an upgrade offer just las week that was really good.  But the roll call indicates many folks on this cruise are now receiving good upgrade offers, so dont think these upgrades are necessarily connected to the free cabin deal.

OK, so if I book the "free" inside cabin, I may or may not get an offer to upgrade at some point?
