The Prima Theater and Prima Club. Why two names?

The Prima Theater has entrances on Decks 6, 7, and 8. Deck 8 is the balcony. Finally a way to get everyone in and out quickly!  For the Donna Summer show, they old standbys to go to the Deck 8 balcony.

But, late night, the front orchestra section folds down and back (something I can only describe as an advance high school gym with bleachers that fold up) creating a dance floor.

Wow, Syd Norman's (and the Comedy Club) are way undersized.

Syd's is usually packed.  Where the heck are the necessary seats?  There will be a whole lot of ticked-off passengers.

(The casino decor reminds of sets from Star Trek - The Next Generation).

The Birds always enjoys a good Teppanyaki dinner. Hasuki is where the action is. There is efficiency in having one chef make food for a full table of 8. The fun of a Japanese steakhouse is the energy that everyone at the table brings as the chef preforms. The designers of the Prima opted for a smaller venue. Fewer tables. And they even created 2-top Teppanyaki tables, which The Birds don’t think would be as fun.

Before the ship was ever built, that the food court was to be free, was a major advertising point

As was Margaritaville on the Escape when we first booked while it was being built.  Then, a few weeks in, they started charging.

I agree.  The furniture they have make no sense for a night club and of course, there is so little of it.   I'm sure there is a reason, something they are trying to accomplish, but I don't know what it could be.

Elegant French Dining can be found in Le Bistro. Gents, don’t for get that this is one of the new places with a dress code and long pants (dockers or jeans are fine) are required.

The Birds are not a fan of the chandeliers sitting on the ground. And the brass-framed dividers also make things look tacky.

NCL started a trend at Onda on the Encore where they replaced carpet with cheap vinyl laminate flooring. The did the same in Le Bistro on the Prima. 100% understand that it is easier to clean and never has to be replaced, but the lack of carpets causes noise to bounce around and the restaurant gets very loud.

And while they tried to put windows in, they look into lifeboats,,, make you feel like being in an obstructed view Ocean View room.

The physical restaurant was very disappointing.

The Local Bar and Grill has taken on a different role with a small dining room and a lounge area with cocktail tables (that people try to eat at).

Go to Tee Time to practice your advance putting. This is the most innovative mini golf on any NCL ship. Currently, they are updating the game’s software so rounds are free. Once things are fixed, rounds will be $5 each with the opportunity  to win prizes up to a free cruise.

I think this is the first time that The Bird has been photographed in the wild!

Love the review, thanks for taking the time to do this!

Cagney’s Steakhouse is the place for steak. Similar to Le Bistro, not our favorite interior design, colors, or carpet patterns - all clashing terribly.

Color blindness for the interior designers and those "grinch" chairs...

Casino looks awesome...looks sparse with the spacing of those slot machines compared to Royal Caribbean who shoves as many in as possible.

Agree about the interior design for Le Bistro and Cagney's...wow those green chairs! Palomar is pretty and Los Lobos has a really fun design.

I think the theatre is cool/smart use of space.

I was hoping The Local would get a menu refresh...doesn't look like that has happened. Sad that the local only has one game but I guess it makes sense given the other areas.

Yeah....50 seats for over 3000 passengers!!! :classic_sad:  I really think they made this venue for the Haven only guest but even they may find it hard to reserve a seat. We are on this ship in May. I hope I am not going to regret it. The price is significantly higher than their other ships.
