I'm sailing next month on Reflection and am wondering how the check in is set up for suite guests. I've sailed Edge before and used that wonderful Retreat lounge but since another E class is boarding that day it will get the good lounge.

 

Do they take Retreat guests to a lounge in the other terminals or are the lines just split up like pre covid?

We departed from T29 on Reflection in April. There was a suite entrance that led you to an area they had roped and draped off with some drinks and pastries along with some seating. We were in that area checking in for less than 5 minutes so we didn't even need to sit.

The only terminal with a true lounge is Terminal 25.  The other terminals have a small roped off area with seat adjacent to the check in counter.

 

There will be a large Flag directing you to the Suites and Zenith entrance.

 

Just checked and for the remainder of 2022 Reflection is scheduled for Terminal 29

So they do allow Zeniths to board with suites still?  I saw a posting on a Zenith FB page where the person was saying that perk has been eliminated.  I'm hoping not as I just earned Zenith!

We are sailing on Reflection on 12/31 and there are no E class ships in port.  I have been assuming we will be in T25 to board. I guess they don't want to make it difficult for parking.

I haven't experienced that myself.    My recent cruise last month they had a big banner flag out front of the left hand door that said  Suites and Zenith.    I'll take a look at the FB page.   Would be good to ask others on the Zenith Group as what one person experience may not be the official policy.

 

If not able to confirm call the Zenith desk and ask.

Yes, I saw that, so disappointed.  I thought when I checked a month ago it showed Reflection at T25 on the 31st. Oh well, a new experience. Just glad they have a suite's line.  I will say that the PE schedule is not always accurate.  Our last cruise on Silhouette they showed her at another terminal but the shore side concierge insisted it was sailing from T25. The concierge was correct.

Guessing someone penciled in 29 for all of the Reflection sailings.  Highly subject to change.  My bets would be on 25.  

 

Our Reflection sailing last November changed terminals 3x in the 24 hours before boarding.

 

We must be among the few who prefer 29 over 25.   No suite for us, and find the cavernous waiting area dreadful and chaotic.  Sailed from 29 twice in the past year on Reflection and it was a walk-on dream.  No arrival-time queues, no long wait inside.  5 min through the detector line, a quick check with the staff, and we were onboard.

Simple as ever.  Barely more than a flash of our passports to an agent, and off we went.  Minimal lines. Sailed 2x from 29 and 1x from 25 this past year.  The difference in time wasn't significant enough to even remember.

I can't remember sailing out of terminal 18....is there a big difference between ports other than the Edge embarkation?

 

Edit 1: Just googled and saw the pics....a BIG difference.  #18 doesn't look very hospitable.

 

Edit 2:  Did a search on this CC site and found much better pics.  Seems #18 was designed for RCL large ships.  Looks much friendlier with people in the pics...LOL.

Normally I would say they would never leave T25 unused, but I bet this is the issue with parking, etc. Don't you already have to shuttle to parking garages from T29? Never driven to port but I know I've read complaints about it before.

The only real negative to 29 is the distance from the parking structure for those who drive in. There is a shuttle that seems to work well enough.   No complaints from friends who drove/shuttled to 29.   

25 is pretty much across the street from the structure and is very easy.

Agree with you on the schedule.   We were on a Silhouette cruise was scheduled for 25 when got to the port there were signs for both 25 and 18..    Went to 25 first out of hope to find  it totally deserted.

 

Mine was the opposite the Shoreside Concierge insisted it was 25.
