sunsetme Posted October 31, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2022 Is global entry available? What is the earliest time you can carry off your own luggage?
bbunch04 Posted October 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2022 Last April we were off the ship and on the road by 6:30am. Sorry, I don't know about global entry.
casandbliz Posted October 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2022 We just went through San Pedro off of the Celebrity Solstice 1 week ago, and going through customs/immigration was simply a facial scan. Never stopped at the customs desk.
NownZen Posted October 31, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2022 When we got off in San Pedro, Global Entry had no effect, nor did the passport. We all walked up to the facial recognition scanner and went on our way.

No. There is no Global Entry but customs is pretty fast.

The ship will send you paperwork for the time that you'd prefer. If you're assigned a time that you don't like, go to Pax Svcs and ask to change it. avonlady6390 Posted November 1, 2022 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2022 Last week I was in self walk off line they let us off starting at 7:30. I would suggest getting down to deck 6 or 7 early there was already a long line at 7 am. This was on the discovery just got off this past Saturday. They were allowing passengers off mid ship on 6 & 7.

Rare travelin.sisters Posted November 1, 2022 #13 Share Posted November 1, 2022 It will usually be 7:30ish, & go quickly (they have not done any customs questions in several years even before covid & now use facial rec scanners) but we have had cruises with disembarkation delays for various reasons (one INS had to remove someone with an outstanding warrant before they started letting anyone else off...it was maybe an hour or more delay)

We saw one "escorted" off prior to sail away once. He had on silver bracelets 😆 and his wife/girlfriend was walking behind with the suitcases and yelling bad things as he was led away. You never know what you're going to see on a cruise.😉
polmcs Posted November 1, 2022 #15 Share Posted November 1, 2022 Fort Lauderdale is the only cruise port with Global Entry. The major difference with Global Entry at a sea port, is that unlike at the airport, you have to present the physical card to the agent.
