phissy Posted November 17, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2022 If you are sailing Caribbean, and have port stop at Cartagena, you must test before cruise if not vaccinated.

I could be wrong, but I believe these measurements are for cruises in the Caribbean and Bahamas only (https://www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures/caribbean-cruises). For other locations, testing may still be required, considering that it is what appears on the Grand Voyages page (https://www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures/grand-voyages-msc-world-cruise). On the main health & safety measures page (https://www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures) it states that "Vaccination and pre-cruise testing are recommended, but not required, on most cruises". That is, on some cruises, vaccination or testing will still be required. I believe this can cause confusion for passengers.

Rare mawvkysc Posted November 17, 2022 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2022 As of today 11/17 on Meraviglia out of Port Canaveral and they wanted to see our vaccine cards. I specifically asked. I had it. I told her it’s on the internet that it’s no longer necessary. They didn’t know about it. Typical MSC shoreside.

Rare travelberlin Posted November 18, 2022 #12 Share Posted November 18, 2022 Unfortunately MSC is still requiring tests for the Grand Voyages. I hope they will change this policy. The tests pre cruise are not stopping COVID onboard. We came back infected with COVID from a cruise with MSC despite the requirement of every body presenting a negative test to board. Lots of inconvenience to find the place to get the test and at the end it did not stop infection. Ivi
