As long as you can produce a statement that shows 100 shares of NCLH.

Agree with The Bird - I just did it last week.  It shows up as OBC split between pax 1 and pax 2, and I got both an email and a new amenity confirmation.

That split is interesting as an IRA account is an individual account. For the various Carnival brands, they do not split it even if the stock is in a joint account.

I always get the same, in my case they are a stockholding in my name only but they always split it between us both, not a problem for us as we are a couple but I could see in some cases it would not be welcome, I'm not sure why they do it really.

Again, that is the exact opposite of what the various Carnival lines do. In 2020 on Princess (for a cruise that obviously never happened because of Covid), I tried to buy an excursion pre-cruise for both DW and myself. They would not split it, so even after using other OBC a few dollars ended up having to be charged. There are some who have reported when you call, they will then allow it to be split, but it was not worth the effort to try to call again to get a different representative for a relatively few dollars that would have been left in my OBC anyway and would get used on the ship.

Just received our OBC for 12/22 and 2/23 cruises and both cruises were split $50 each.  Thought it was because our shares are in both our names, but on CCL they just do $100 to the primary on the account.  This is our first cruise since we bought our NCL stock and thought this was just the way NCL did it.  Doesn’t make any difference to us. But interesting.

NCL assigns the Shareholder OBC to the stateroom, rather than to a particular passenger - I'm guessing that since pax 1 and pax 2 are the "main" passengers (in, the double occupancy charged), it's easier for the system to do it that way - less programming.  Plus, passengers can be moved around on a reservation, and it's messy enough without considering credits - I moved some around and lost excursions and dining that had already been paid for - I got a refund, but the excursions were all booked up when I went back to rebook.

TBH, I don't think it's refundable, and the split makes it easier to spend.
