Casino on Virgin - Mini Trip Report and Return Offers??

A few notes and and a question.

Recently sailed on Valiant Lady as a casino guest.  We had a little think to add to our bracelet and were able to get drinks free anytime in the casino, even at the bar.   Unlike some ships, they seem to have more table games and less slots. Slot variety was limited.   They had 4 video poker machines and none at the bar.

Machines take cash and use TITO so you can go from machine to machine, or save ticket for the next night. I saw nothing about any casino club.

So - now that we played and lost more than what the cruise would have cost - any idea when they might reach out we come back offers?

Edit to sayt "  Booked direct with Virgin Casino via promo from one of the online slot guys"

I just got off Valiant lady and was on a comp casino cruise booked through URComped. The host Dex told me in order to get offers from Virgin casino department you needed to have had 6500 points by the time you got off the ship. He told me if you dont your better off using a junket like URComped to get more casino offers.

Thanks.  Dex took care of us while on the cruise.  No idea how many points we hit... I remember it was around 4000 a few days in... ?

Yeah Dex took care of us too. I am a table player so it is harder for me to acquire points. I ended the cruise with around 4000 points. If you are a slot player im sure you probably hit the 6500 threshold. If you dont want to use a junket like URcomped just call the casino phone number for virgin and have them look you up in their system. I'm sure they have your play in the system.

Did you have any slots play at all, or all tables ?  Was the 4000 you only or you + your SO combined ?  Would you mind sharing your table(s) of choice, average bet, and hours of play to get to 4000 points on Virgin table play ?  Thanks !

I had some slot play but very little. the 4000 points was only me I was with my friend and he got his own 4000 points and had his own separate cabin. My table of choice is Ultimate Texas Holdem. I play between $10-$15 on ante and blind and I always play $10 on the trips which always gives you more points... I play many many hours. Basically anytime the casino is open I play probably between 6-10 hours a day on sea day and port days whenever I am done eating dinner until they close. Closed down the casino every night.

Yup. Call the casino line at VV and see what they can do for you. I was hoping for an offer for my NYE sailing on the Valiant Lady but since I'd sailed earlier this year on the Scarlet Lady, I wasn't eligible for one from URComped. I was able to be connected to the casino department and after looking up my player history (all craps, if that matters) and sending them the best offer I have from other lines they were able to hook me up.

Not the easiest way and it does seem like they'd prefer you to go through URComped, but it's a work-around until they get their official players club up and rolling.

Did you get free drinks while playing in casino since you were booked through UC?  If so,  I heard you could get them direct from the casino bar?  Thanks

You get free drinks in the casino if booked through URcomped if you are booked in a sea terrace or higher.. My friend had a free sea terrace I only had Seaview so he got free drinks and I didn't until I reached 2500 points and then I also got free drinks and yes you could go to the casino bar anytime they are open and show them the charm they put on your band and get free drinks from the casino bar

silly question, but was your charm a whale/mermaid tail?  i was on this summer and saw LOTS of people with red, silver and gold tassels (assuming the color either represented their comp level or tied them to a specific promotion company), but i saw lots of silver mermaid/whale tails in october.  wasn't sure if that was just a lot of people that wanted to nautically jazz up their bands or casino stuff!

Yes its a mermaid charm that they give you. That's how the bar staff know to give you the free drinks and also the casino staff knows not to charge the 7% fee to take out money on your credit card.

Yeah I like to take money out on my credit card so getting the 7% fee waved was important to me.

Me too !  I never feel like its safe carrying a bunch of cash.  Gift cards work, I don't know if VV has gift cards yet ?  Can't think of any other options really.

I just came off a 5 night cruise on Scarlet Lady and was offered a free comp cruise in an XL Sea Terrace on my last night of gambling.

I don’t know how many points I had but every night at dinner the casino sent us a bottle of wine wherever my wife and I were eating. At the Wake, they bought us a tomahawk steak lol. Great but dang it’s a lot of meat.

My wife and I get free suites on Royal throughout the year through the casino and our goal was to get offers on VV through casino as well. Thus, we went with mindset of “losing” more than we normally would with hopes to get free offers. And, luckily, we were successful.

we only play table games and between us put $2000-2500 in action every night. We took them for a few thousand one night (thanks goodness) so we were able to keep things going a little harder. On the 5 night, we lost about $5k total on 5 nights. I am only giving this info for perspective.

my guess is you need to be putting thousands in play a night at the tables and you need to be betting 25-50 a hand/roll. I also think tipping the staff goes a long way which we do.

going back on 4 night in April from Miami if anyone want to get a gambling group together. Cheers

I played the truly degenerate games of roulette and craps. But, I am almost certain I saw 6/5 BJ. I just can't tell you for certain. The casino is smaller and there aren't a lot of tables I can tell you that much. But, its still a fun atmosphere and casino.
